Stability needs improvement

The quality of design and execution isn't close to what I would have expected having used the mobile app. It's a nice idea, but it's buggy and far less intuitive. I want to love it, but it's not there yet.

Humrous weather with limited radar

I enjoy the humor and snarky personalities. I find this app always blurts out an explitive during a meeting, must remember to mute. The weakness is the radar. 2 hours is too short. For what you pay for the upper tier levels radar should be at least 4 to 6 hours in length. I have stopped using Carrots for now.

Not compatible on macOS 13 Ventura ARM

Devs are unethical to list this for sale on Apple Silicon. They could easily uncheck the box "make this app available" on silicon macs until they provide a compatible build.

The weatherperson we needed, but never knew we wanted

I look forward to Carrot Weather giving me a dose of weather and a punch to the gut every morning. It is the highlight of my day.

Huge fan on iOS. Not here.

Just got an M2 MacBook Air. Have been a fan for years on iOS. Was sad to see it required Rosetta, and it crashes all the time. I can't even change the personality type without it crashing. Feels bad, man.

Needs native Apple Silicon build w/o Rosetta

Carrot on MacOS still needs an Apple Silicon build, as of June 2023. Attempting to open Carrot Weather demands Rosetta on Apple Silicon MacOS. By avoiding installing Rosetta you can ensure you avoid running outdated and/or emulated software on your M1 or M2 Mac, and only let software for AArch64 to run. That's better for performance, battery life, and avoiding outdated software. In this case, the app is still being updated, but is asking for legacy support. Without knowing why, or what code is not getting updated, it's better to just not run it.
