A simple and satisfying app for meditation

Recently discovered the 10% Happier podcast with Dan Harris. Dan is so up front about how he got here and how he has addressed self-sabotage and is developing mindfulness. He has access to awesome expert guests, and his own teacher Joseph Goldstein, who walks us through meditations on this app, has an approach that suits my secular curious mind. The interface is clean and well thought out. I am still in my trial weeks and already plan to subscribe. As a slightly fidgety skeptic, I recommend this app.

Favorite app on my phone

I eventually made my way to this app after read Dan’s book and becoming a frequent listener to the podcast. Apart from therapy and practicing yoga, this app has helped me make meaningful, sustained changes in my life more than anything else. I’ve been a premium user for about two years now. I’m so excited for the upcoming Anti-Diet challenge! As someone who came across intuitive eating through therapy and with the help of a dietitian, I was so excited when Evelyn Tribole came on the show awhile back (and then Sonya Renee Taylor, and now Christy Harrison)! It’s been so rewarding to get glimpses of Dan’s journey grappling with intuitive eating, meditation, and diet culture as I was going on my own.

Life is such a wonderful, messy, beautiful, chaotic, sometimes (maybe most times) difficult to balance and understand thing that we all deal with 24-7-365. The 10% happier app helps to balance the day-to-day feelings, demands, and thoughts more evenly and creates a mental space that extends into our physical realm where we are able to go through each moment with grace and more ease. The updated version can’t be beat, as it combines both the podcasts and all kinds of meditation opportunities in one. The information is professional clear, and well produced. It has made a daily positive impact in my life!

For everyone

I’ve tried one or two other meditation apps, and this one is the most rewarding. It’s silly but getting the little confetti when I’ve reached a goal makes me want to keep meditating. It also keeps track of how many days and minutes I’ve meditated and my favorite sessions. I can ask a question if I need to, and it all flows well with the podcast. It’s worth the money. I’m genuinely a better person bc of this little app.

I started meditating,again, when I quit drinking for January. Dryuary. Can’t stop! Love how it helps focus my monkey mind. I’m loving the speakers, and resonate with what I am learning. Listening to the podcasts is what drew me in. I find something meaningful in everyone. I also appreciate Dan Harris and his readiness to share from his own experiences. Especially the frustrating ones. The meditation sessions have helped quite my mind. 80+ days in and the practice is a permanent part of my health-focused daily routine.

Love this app more than 10%

This app gave birth and continuing support to what has become my daily meditation practice. The organization of the app itself, plus the quality level of the teachers makes this a very easy, do-able and flexible guidebook to a modern meditation practice we could all use.
