This is an app jam packed with so much wonderful content but if you don’t pay the price (100 a year) than you get really only a small fraction of it. I feel the upgrade version should be more of an upgrade rather than “pay to get everything this app offers”

I love how this app opens up so many ways to connect with meditation. The teachers are excellent, the new UI is much better. Overall a great value when considering how rich the sessions are. Highly recommend this app at any price! Life is too short to not have it.
Has devolved into meditation for snowflakes. Dropping app after the latest “meditation for global warming claptrap.” Nice idea ruined by SJW‘s.
I love this app. It’s my favorite because of Joseph Goldstein. He is fantastic!! I just wish they had more guided meditations from him.

I did the free ones (there are maybe 7 free ones) again and again. If those are all you ever do, totally worth it to download the app. After using the free ones for several months, I bought the 1 year subscription. I am getting a lot out of each session. Short, well paced. Quality content. For the app itself, I would give 5 stars. However, I REALLY wish it wouldn’t auto renew at the end of a year. I would have bought it the first week if it didn’t auto-renew. For that reason, I can’t recommend it to anyone else. No one should sign up for something that auto-renews annually for $100. No-one. I did. I love the app. But that sets people up for an annual $100 surprise. Charge $100 for the app and keep it up to date. Let people sign up for 1 year and give them a discount code for the next year.
The 10% Happier book was recommended to me as I was struggling deeply with anxiety and depression. I started reading the book but, as I am an extremely slow reader, at a certain point in the book (once you realize that it’s meditation that makes Mr. Harris 10% Happier), I wanted to know how to utilize it in my life. At that point, the thought of being left alone in silence in my own head seemed like a terrifying idea. “I already spend too much time in there,” I thought. However, I decided to do the 7 day free trial and see what it was all about. I was told that this app might be better received by men, but I’m a young woman that prefers this app over others that I was told would be geared more toward women. I LOVE the fact that every session has an intro video for the person to hear about the meditation they’re about to practice. I’m so happy to report that the hype in my head that this would be a scary experience, was in fact wrong. This app has become my GO TO for relaxation, acceptance of my feelings, and the tool to help me process my thoughts and emotions. It seems a little spendy at first, but when you break that year subscription down by month, it’s really not bad and also, worth every penny!
10% Happier offers options for the newbies as well as the more seasoned meditators through a variety of topics it addresses as well as the formats these topics are introduced to the audience. The courses, that’s what the series of sessions facilitated by experienced and well-known meditation gurus are called, explore universal topics through a brief two-minute conversation with the teacher that leads to a guided meditation part. There are daily sessions that vary in topics that they address with duration options that the audience can select, usually ranging from five minutes up to half an hour. After a year of having the 10% Happier app on my phone, and being able to access the meditation sessions through the WiFi or after downloading them, I have created a daily routines that include meditation, and I am looking forward to meditating anywhere and anytime. Convenient, well-organized and practical, 10% Happier supports my learning in mindfulness daily.
I love this app. I almost never meditate but when I do I love it. If you have a busy day or stressful anything then I totally recommend this. My favorite ones are the sleep ones. By the end I am always asleep!
