The free intro meditations are really great, but short and have a lot of guidance and talking. If there was just a bit more of a range of free content this would definitely be a 5 star app. I’ll miss it when my free trial is over, but the subscription price is steep for me as a grad student and I’m sure many others who can’t afford a $99/year charge.
After trying a couple times to start meditating and failing, I stumbled across this app. Tried 7 day free trial and by day 4 I found myself looking forward to spending time meditating. I’m still a novice, but I’m going to give this a try. It seems like presented in this fashion, this is something I can do.
Great App! I love the interviews pertaining to the recent research. Western Medicine is finally catching up. The future looks more hopeful for integrative practices. Also her voice is very soothing:) I work with many patient however, who would not be able to afford the App. Will you offer a free course?
A simple, clear intro to meditating, with a great teacher. love it after first session.
If you want educational meditation. That allows you understand your body better. Pay for the app
It’s been a cornerstone of my morning for well over a year. Real, on-point meditations for a wide range of moods and needs.
I am new to meditation, and I have struggled to find apps that help with clearing my mind. Since I am deaf and have trouble understanding spoken word, the captions on these videos are extremely helpful. I have not found another app that includes this, so my note to the developer, thank you. I am actually able to learn something rather than stressing out trying to understand what has been said. I have just finished day two, and I find these videos very informative. I hope to continue using these techniques to develop a stronger mindset. I recommend!
I have been an on again off again meditator for many years. Recently I have become very seriously interested in my meditation practice and I believe Dan Harris and The Ten Percent Happier Podcast is the reason for it. His guests are fascinating and his questions are just exactly what I would ask and want to know. I can barely wait from one Wednesday to the next for the next podcast.
I came to 10% as a fan of Dan’s book. I still briefly tried all the other meditation apps. 10% felt right because I knew I enjoyed Dan’s sense of humor, the variety of teachers, and the conversations between him and experts make you feel like you’re on this learning journey together.
I just downloaded the app to see whether I want to purchase it. Nothing is available at all to try out first...everything is locked down unless you sign up for subscription. This is horrible! There should at least be a few meditations to try out first without signing up. Disappointed!
