When I first installed this app it worked great! Now two days later it isn’t working AT ALL!!!

Only premium users can submit spam

This is important to know if you're considering going with the paid version. People who use the free version can't report spam numbers so their "data update" is only from people paying for their app. After stopping the premium service, I've received one spam warning and some of the numbers that came through, not flagged as spam had been flagged when I paid for their service so if a "spam warning" shows on the free version, it's probably a ruse by the developers to get you to pay for premium Out of the hundreds of millions of spam callers, eliminating the majority of a crowdsourced base won't increase their data base so the developers are probably recognizing .01% of spam callers at best. Paid users have reported credit card fraud identification numbers, internet providers, mobile carriers, legit businesses and people who simply dialed a wrong number. When only a tiny number of users can submit spam numbers, it is absolutely useless. When you no longer receive warnings after cancelling premium, the app is useless. The developers want your money so don't fall for their scam!

I don’t usually review but I’m so grateful for this app because it has knocked down my spam calls so much!!! I don’t have time to be blocking all the calls that come in. This app does a pretty good job of it!

Rarely works.....

I don’t understand marketing and providing a product that does not work.... swing and a miss for me I guess... I was really hoping this app would work!!!

GREAT app!!!

Got a call from, SUPPOSEDLY, Social Security! .Tried to call the number back and, for SOME reason, wasn't able to! TRIED to call Social Security and was informed that it would be a wait of OVER an hour! Hung up, downloaded THIS app and CONFIRMED my suspicions!!!

My honest opinion!

First off I have noticed that my spam and nuisance calls have gone way down and for a free app Hiya is pretty good! So it does work as far as I can tell. However I have noticed that each time I do an update sometimes Ive had over 200,000 blocked spam and nuisance calls but the next time I update it only shows a little over 100,000 spam and nuisance calls. Not sure whats going on there and what has happened to the other 100 something thousand. I wish they’d add something in the app to help with spam and nuisance text messages! I get more of those than I do calls now! I just received a text message from an email address but Hiya only allows me to use numbers to block. I know I can block it from my phone but it would just be nice to have the option to block not just phone calls but ANY KIND of spam! Im still going to use the Hiya app for my calls but if I can find something that works with calls and text messages Im sorry but Im gonna have to do what works best for me! If youre ONLY getting spam, telemarketing and other nuisance calls I HIGHLY recommend the Hiya app for those things! They have a free and a paid version and the free version has been working quite well for me blocking the calls.

Wait for iOS 13

Does not really work. Not worth paying, not better than free version. Calls still get through. Wait for iOS 13 so you can send straight to Voicemail. Meanwhile restrict to contacts.

Doesn’t block anything

I have a list of “neighbor scam protection” numbers listed to block and they still get through every single day. The app just doesn’t work to actually block anything. Completely useless.
