There’s so much to see and do, GyPSy will help you prioritize what suits you best and make sure you don’t miss a thing PLAYS AUTOMATICALLY GyPSy Guide knows where you are and which direction you are heading, and plays commentary automatically about the things you are seeing, plus stories and tips and advice. EXPLORE LIKE A LOCAL It’s just like having a local friend to show you around. And that friend just happens to be a professional tour guide. GREAT VALUE The same information you would get on a bus tour or from a guide book, for just a fraction of the price. And you control the itinerary and schedule. WORKS OFFLINE No data, cellular or even wireless network connection needed while touring. Download over Wi-Fi before you tour. Anyone can use them with no need for roaming data – even visiting from another country. DRIVING TOUR ROUTE The tour includes the most popular sightseeing stops and many more: 1) Old Faithful and the incredible Geyser Basin Areas 2) The Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone Area 3) Mammoth Hot Springs 4) West Thumb and the Lake area 5) Tower Fall and Roosevelt area 6) Many wildlife spotting opportunities You can join the tour from any of the 5 park entrances or anywhere along the route. Whichever entrance you use, commentary will begin 10-15 minutes before you reach the Grand Loop Drive - the main road that circles the park. NOTES Download the app on Wi-Fi from your network at home or use any free Wi-Fi network. Because the app is filled with audio commentary and maps, its larger than "normal" apps. Many phone/data networks may block the download because of size - so its important to download over a Wi-Fi network. ++ Continued use of GPS running in the background increases battery usage - we strongly recommend taking a cigarette style (DC outlet) car charger. This is much better than simply plugging into the USB port in a vehicle. ** iPad users - please note that WiFi-only iPads will not activate the commentary automatically. Any iPhone or network-capable iPad (WiFi + Cellular - whether you have a network connection or not) will work just fine. We toured Yellowstone with this app and it was THE BEST! Before going my husband said I needed to research where we needed to go. A friend told me about this app but I didn’t understand just how awesome it really is! I couldn’t have done enough research to come close to what this app did for us. We’ll check every trip we take now, to see if Gypsy has an app for it!
We discovered this before we left on vacation. So glad we did! It was an awesome way to travel through the park. We learned so much!
We loved this app. We felt like we had a good friend as our personal guide. My only complaint is that we are traveling to Badlands National Park and there is no guide. This was well worth it!!
With teens on a long road trip we swung into Yellowstone for two days. Because of this app we enjoyed little known info about the park and really feel like we maximized our time. Don’t think twice! Click Purchase now. You won’t regret it.
I loved the narrative giving the history of the park and plenty of notification prior to arriving at sites. Also gave us some great advice about sites off of the main roads, that were very interesting. A great tool!
Ok so the only reason I’m giving it 4 stars is because I had to keep shutting my phone off & then back on because there was no audio. It was a pain but I kept doing it because this app was so valuable!!!
This app is just how it describes itself- like having a tour guide in the car with you. Educational enough to help you appreciate what you’re seeing. He gives you enough time ahead of the stops and describes them so you know what to look for as many stops are not ‘must see’ sights. But you’ll be glad you followed his advice. Makes for a richer park experience. Just buy it.
This app saved our bacon. We went up there with no real plan of attack and were wondering exactly how we would work our way through the park. My daughter started searching for ideas and found Gypsy. It was like being in a private tour bus with just my family. We were notified about every major and minor attraction along the way. Some of the lesser-known attractions that we would never have thought about nor been able to find, were some of our favorites. This was $6 very well spent.
Just like having a tour guide. Pointed out many hidden gems to go visit that I would have passed by. Totally recommend this app for visiting Yellowstone
I would strongly recommend this app. I felt this was an excellent compliment to our trip and allowed us to really see the sites.
