EXPLORE LIKE A LOCAL It’s just like having a local friend to show you around. And that friend just happens to be a professional tour guide. GREAT VALUE The same information you would get on a bus tour or from a guide book, for just a fraction of the price. And you control the itinerary and schedule. WORKS OFFLINE No data, cellular or even wireless network connection needed while touring. Download over Wi-Fi before you tour. Anyone can use them with no need for roaming data – even visiting from another country. DRIVING TOUR ROUTE The tour includes the most popular sightseeing stops and many more: 1) Old Faithful and the incredible Geyser Basin Areas 2) The Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone Area 3) Mammoth Hot Springs 4) West Thumb and the Lake area 5) Tower Fall and Roosevelt area 6) Many wildlife spotting opportunities You can join the tour from any of the 5 park entrances or anywhere along the route. Whichever entrance you use, commentary will begin 10-15 minutes before you reach the Grand Loop Drive - the main road that circles the park. NOTES Download the app on Wi-Fi from your network at home or use any free Wi-Fi network. Because the app is filled with audio commentary and maps, its larger than "normal" apps. Many phone/data networks may block the download because of size - so its important to download over a Wi-Fi network. ++ Continued use of GPS running in the background increases battery usage - we strongly recommend taking a cigarette style (DC outlet) car charger. This is much better than simply plugging into the USB port in a vehicle. ** iPad users - please note that WiFi-only iPads will not activate the commentary automatically. Any iPhone or network-capable iPad (WiFi + Cellular - whether you have a network connection or not) will work just fine. Very helpful for our trips and very handy with accurate GPS based information.
Love love love this app. I can’t say enough good things about it. We so enjoyed having this app to guide us and inform us of so many places that we would probably not have seen otherwise. I loved the information it gave us in between stops. I felt so much more prepared and informed using this app as opposed to not having it. I would have felt much more lost and stressed without it. I highly recommend it.
“Ranger Rick” (we nicknamed the narrator) gave great advice about the turnoffs at Yellowstone. He alerted us before approaching a turnoff what was ahead and if it was a must-see or the hike was long or strenuous, and how long to expect to stay there. He also gave history about some spots. In between spots, he talked about the wildlife and what to look for. I feel we saw everything we needed to see in 3 days in Yellowstone, because “Rick” told us where to turn in and what to expect. It is especially great because you can use this app with no cellular service, which you do no get in Yellowstone. It really IS like having a tour guide in your car.
We can’t quit recommending this app to everyone who asks about our trip to Yellowstone. With an app like this there is no excuse to not have a great tour.
This app helped us extremely in going around Yellowstone. We would probably have been lost without it . The only improvement that would be helpful is if it can align with season/ weather and suggest places to see
The app worked perfectly throughout our trip. The commentary was well done, not too much information or too little. Very happy with this purchase.
We used this app for our 1 day grand tour thru Yellowstone last summer and it was fabulous! It tells you if it is a point of interest or a must see stop! It also gives you some history about Yellowstone. My parents were traveling with us in a separate vehicle and we both used this app and loved it! Highly recommend!!!
Enjoyed thoroughly having this app in the park. Very helpful. Turn by turn narration on must see spots greatly appreciated.
This guide was a tremendous help in visiting the park , accurate on GPS , and commentaries are very nice... The “live” comment were also very nice. I.e. , ‘glad that you turn ,.... “ Voice was ver pleasant too. We highly recommend it .
We loved the program!! It was so informative, like having the guide in the car with us. Saw much more than had we been on our own. His history info was a wonderful addition to the tour, like having a personal guide. Highly recommend to anybody!
