I've been using it over over a year as a paid user, and the alerts are hyper acurate. My Mac show rain will be starting in 30 mins, and I know I better walk my dog quickly. And just like that, the rain starts in 30 minutes, just after we return. The UI is easy to use and I like being able to switch between locations with just a keystroke.
All the detail and customizations that you need, tucked away in your menu bar. Don't pass on Forecast Bar!
This is a trial. The app stops working unless you subscribe. What's here mostly works and looks good. Location services are wonky and works sometimes, other times you are directed to location services to turn on location services that are already turned on, there is no rhyme or reason to this. After the brief trial period, the app goes insane. There is a red bar across the top that says "automatic updates are disabled, click here to enable" this banner blocks the ability to close the app, and if clicked on takes you to the subscription page. So far I haven't figured out a way to remove the app from my mac. The banner blocks the close on the menu bar, if you right click you get nothing, if you click on the app in Launch Pad, it takes you to the forecast with the banner on top, and if you try to force quit it doesn't appear in the list.
I would give this app a six star if it included local radar. I know they didn't advertise that but it would make a good weather app a great weather app.
I've been using this app for some time now and it is my go to weather app. With the recent additions of widgets, I had become a bit frustrated with the inability to load the widget on my iPhone or iPad Air 2. With some expert guidence from the very patient developers I was successful in getting the widgets to load and function perfectly. Thanks for not just developing a great app but adding the value of support with some personal interaction. Well Done!
It was perfect
The radar part quit working. I tried to upgrade to 5.7 on Mac OS 10.12.6, but was unable to. The wheel justy kept spinningfortwo hours. Otherwise, it is a good app.
I like to keep track of the weather where my family live and this app does a great job at that as well as where I live. I like that it is not intrusive but available whenever I want it. Exactly what I was looking for.
This app does exactly what its supposed to do... tell the weather. It has features available that I didnt even know I wanted. I'm a life long customer.
I had a big complaint about the radar display simply opening an ad-filled Weather Channel web site. I contacted the developers and they said they had a problem with their radar supplier on short-notice. They've fixed the problem now, and I have corrected my rating back to 5 stars.
