Yesssss! Finally the weather app that I have been looking for forever! Thanks for making the greatest weather app with the most customizability and the most information... all in a sleek, uncluttered, easy-to-use interface. Please bring this app to iOS and iPadOS!
I love that this app accurately displays ALL the pertinent weather info for every location that I'm intertested in.
I was looking for an app to replace what was lost when most of the notification center apps went away. I was also hesitant to pay for something when the weather is a click away on a web site. But I picked it up, and was surprised how much I now use it. Love having the current temp always in the menu bar. I love the additional data available via clicks (dew point, pollen report, heat index, etc). There are a few small nits. Apple-ID connect from Mac to phone doesn't work well. Occasionally see the CPU hit others observe. Radar can sometimes take a bit to load. But none of those have stopped me from enjoying the app.
We all tend to be curious about the weather and watch TV and check out one or two free aps. But, I have found that the most accurate information is on the Forecast Bar. The team stays on top of any app related issues. Many times just refreshing the app will show that an issue has already been fixed. To learn more about the Forecast Bar app, click on the Preview Screens and they will show the app possibilities better than I can explain them.
I really like Forecast Bar because it's always there -- and it's accurate. I kept another app on my desktop for a little side-by-side comparison, and Forecast Bar is rarely ever off by much. I love it on both my iMac and iPhone, but I think it suffers a little on providing live radar. I live in a storm-prone area in spring and summer, and I consider radar to be a vital feature. Forecast Bar's radar is hardly a feature. If that were improved, I'd say it gets 5 stars rather than four.
There are SO MANY feature options, and yet they are easy to customize with a straight-forward Preferences window. The menu bar icon is incredibly-customizable, as is the on-click panel that displays the weather details. Weather condition graphics are simple but detailed an informative. Forecast text (powered by The Weather Company) is descripitve. Support for multiple locations, built-in radar/conditions map, and a gorgeous default graphics pack for weather summary background, with other packs available. I only wish it would remember the prefereces for the Radar Map popup (layers, Dark Mode, etc.) between each use.
Used the top subscription version of this app for a few years, but then had to go without a Mac for a couple of years. Came back to Mac recently and restarted my subscription. I'm amazed at how far this app has come in terms of functionality, and elegance of design.
Well executed weather app. All the right functions. Nice to look at. Easy to use. Believe me, I've tried them all!
simple clean interface. easy to customize how it appears & what is shown. keyboard command shortcuts. developer very responsive to questions..issues.
This app makes my life easier because I no longer have to pick up my phone to check the weather. Temp & General conditions at a glance in the menu bar. Details one click away. The ability to drill into details if I need them. The ability to switch sources such as The Weather Co. & Dark Sky. I've used two other weather apps for Mac and while they were both good, even prettier than Forecast Bar, they are no where near as functional.
