Works fine

I don't use ToDos but I needed a good Gmail calendar application. This one fits the bill mostly. The watch app is something that needs work, it'll show me old dates or just be hard to see in a complication. The app reminders are pretty bad in that they just do a standard notification that I'll miss almost every time. I do miss Outloook sometimes. Updates and meeitng invites are great, things are in sync very well and I see updates as they happen. The product is reliable and works, that's mostly what I'm asking for.

NOT FREE and very confusing

1
I thought this was a calender app for Mac? I can't access anything that even resembles a calender unless I sign up for a 14 day free trial that auto bills $15 after that. Bait and switch scam. Avoid.

Does Everything Our Family Needs But Walk The Stupid Dog!

I've needed a daily calendar since 1971. I, and my family LOVE this calendar. It is perfect for: - a retired guy with more "to dos” [projects, appointments, meeting, errands] than when I was working; - an ex-wife with successful online writing instruction classes, community and friends meetings, appointments; - our 32 year old daughter who teaches middle school science and working on an advanced degree, and noting assignments, meetings with parents and teachers, creating assignments and projects and personal stuff (which most Dad’s don’t want to know about); and - our 6 year old grandson's activities and ‘care' program - soccer and karate practices, our times together - everyone and visits with grandparents (both and individually), trips and vacations, important school calendar dates; - and noting family special dates Holiday activities. I, personally, have calendars for: - all family events & activities (brown) we all three share access to; - medical appointments (red); - general meetings, appointments, activities of note (blue); - Travel (green); - Projects (lavender/pink/light purple) As a strong type A with an advanced degree in Organization Development, I’m a less stressful (and cranky) person. And I’ve saved a ton of money on markers! Regarding the switch to subscription service. If this keeps Fantastical3 an advanced app, current with more features and usability, then I'm happy to pay to keep my "ducks in a row", keep my days running smoothly, and remember important dates.

WAY TOO INTRUSIVE

1
Started to install.... Then No. I'm retired and Just not ready for a computer to access all this knowledge, even though claims are for privacy. It's amazing how a planing notebook suffices... and never needs charging. It would probably be helpful if I needed a staff to support my endeavors.

Hard to add new event items

3
Would be better to have a side window in the calendar to easily add new items. Popup is hard to use!

Awesome software!

4
I love fantastical and it makes all the scheduling I do especially since I'm often bouncing around time zones. My one wish is that I could have a print/pdf output that was as nice as the screen is. I have to distribute my schedules to my teams in the form of an email attachment. Often times I'm screen shotting the window and putting that in my schedule email rather than print to pdf.

Subscription - gotta bail

3
Loved the app until the subscription model seems no longer to respect my license for the premium version I purchased. I don't do subscription software if I can avoid it and, in this case, I can avoid it. The problem with subscriptions is not the value proposition for the individual offering, it is the cumulative effect of multiple subscriptions that get forgotten about, so the user ends up paying for subscriptions going unused - like being locked in to an unused health club membership. Would happily pay a larger one time purchase price, but no subscriptions for me. Adios.
