Hibooks worked great for the first year or so now it constantly tells to to join and I get no assistance except automated responses
I have had this app for about 4+ years now. I had it before there were coins. They added coins and I bought them to buy the books I wanted. My account had issues the first time and it took a week to fix. Had issues the second time and I don’t remember how long it took. This time my account is active and I have bought books with coins, but it won’t let me listen to the books. I cannot play the books I have bought and I cannot contact support in order to fix this. The email on their page doesn’t work. Their page does not work. I could not load their page and their email for support is false. I will be taking my money somewhere else. I am disgusted at the horrible customer service. I have been a long standing customer because they fixed my issues before. No longer.
I have had this app since it first came out & I loved it until recently. Unfortunately now I can not log in at all. I can log in on the internet but I just found out that if you get your subscription through the app on iPhone you can not listen to audiobooks on the internet!! WTAF is up with that??? This subscription that I have paid $40 for is a complete waste of money, because the app doesn’t allow you to login. I got to listen to 1 audiobook in July of 2020 & since August 1st of 2020 I have not been able to login into the app at all. Whatever bug is the cause of not allowing subscribers to not login into the app needs to be fixed like yesterday no actually it needed to be fixed back in august not November of 2020.
This app had such a glitch that it shared all my persona information with my family members when plugged into their car charger. It also switched all my information to my sisters and it took support over one month to figure out how to fix it. Worse part, they had me to provide bank statement to show proof of payment, my credit card, multiple different screen shots, Apple ID... about 15 emails back and forth... all that for them to just get my account back. After all that, few months later, my account is down again and it takes them days to get it back. To add to the wound, they won’t even give me credit for the months and days I wasn’t able to listen to my audio and they now is suggesting that if I am not satisfied, I should not RE-subscribe. Meanwhile I have $$$$ worth of books bought with them that I will lose access to. This app support and customer service is TERRIBLE! Use amazon or Apple or any other app!
Makes it so all your books you’ve already bought and paid for can’t be listened to unless you subscribe to their 40$ a yr subscription. Officially over this app, I really enjoyed using it but that’s extremely scandalous and messed up
All of a sudden I cannot access my Books it tells me that I have a membership good for another year and I don’t know how to fix it.
I am a current customer and I understand about price increases in the business world. But you do stop a paid member from hearing books until they sign a new contract when they Still have 6 months left on prepaid contract. Bad move people. Now an ex customer.
Why pay for a subscription when you still have to pay for coins to get the books. The free books are lame.
It’s a good book platform but I don’t want to use coins to read a book, I have a deadline to read this book and I want to listen to it but I can’t “unlock” it 😒
I received an email advising an “exciting chance” that the price had dropped to $5.95. The trick is now HI Books charged $9.99 for every single title I attempted to listen to. You are better off using another app.
