Great for recording rides, just lacks good direction. Setup navigation to hit up a city in Amish country. First turn out of my subdivision instead of showing a right turn at the intersection, it cut off the corner and wanted me to cut through a yard. No biggie. However, about 30 minutes into the trip, it chamfered the corner about 1/2 mile before the dead end and right turn. I was not about to cut through the corn field, but the line never came back to the road. I drive about 3 miles, and never found the line again, nor did it try to recalculate a new route for me. I fired up another app and that was able to get me to my destination.
Spent several hours planning 3 rides in NC. Planning the rides was way harder then expected which was very disappointing from the start. Then when I tried to use the app on the ride it got worse. Starting at any point other then the starting point entered cause the app problems. Lastly the navigation does not have audio, I had to constantly look down check the road name and then read each street sign for my turn. Do yourself a favor and don’t waste your time or money like I did, and try something else.
Where’s the iPad support? It’s 2020, iPhone mode on the iPad doesn’t cut it.
You have to pay for app use , it’s not free
Mapping issues galore. Rerouting a track begins again at the first waypoint. Saving a video of your track to share crashes the app. Map display is way too cluttered to be used easily on a ride. The downloaded maps don’t help you re-navigate if offline. The speed colored track is cool but should show more data points on the scale or make stopped red and stretch the colors from there, the 3D ride overview is cool but you can’t share it with anyone, all in all the issues don’t make it worth it.
Bad: For months the live tracking never works only shows the initially shared location. For months the push alerts on iphone doesn't work and even when app is open they are delayed. Every now and then i find the alerts off. Good: The sms features seem to work properly.
With update to iOS 14 I’m getting a notification every time I open this app that it’s reading my clipboard on the phone and on any other device with handoff enabled on the same network. No good reason this app needs to do that. Fix this privacy issue and I will happily update my review.
I am an officer in a women’s riding group so I ride. A LOT. I have tried all kinds of apps and this one is my favorite. Been a pro member for a few years now. I love all the features but I do have a few complaints. The app runs so slow when trying to switch between tabs. It takes forever to switch from the Track screen to the Rides screen, and once there, switching between My Tracked Rides and My Planned Rides takes forever. Then it takes forever to load the rides for selection. It also crashes every now and then. Navigation. I appreciate that you can plan a ride with multiple “destinations” so that you can really customize your route. I also appreciate that it will automatically start navigating you to the next “Destiination“. Every other rider app I have used requires the user to physically click something on the screen in order to begin navigating to the next waypoint. Not very user-friendly when you are riding a motorcycle. There’s a problem with the navigation though, if you miss a turn it will not reroute you back onto to the route. You have to find your own way. It also will not begin navigating you from the middle of a route. One time I was halfway through a planned ride and the app crashed. I pulled the group I was leading into in a parking lot, spent 5 minutes loading each section of the app until I got to the ride I was looking for, restarted the route, and it wanted to take me all the way to the beginning and start navigating from there. This app would be perfect— if it worked. At this point, other than using it as a simple tracker, the app is useless. Please fix it :(
I have used REVER since the beginning of summer and while I forget to track my rides 70% of the time, I really enjoy looking back on the ones I remembered too. Add pictures to the rides and share with friends. The only beef I have is that it’s difficult to get it started without being in a service area. I got off my bike in Greenbank Wv for a photo and it would not reload. It was 64 miles until I got cell service again and could reload my track. Other than that, a great app!
Best riding and route planning app/combo.
