This is my all time FAVORITE recipe storage App ever!! It couldn’t be easier. Thank you Recipe Keeper for simplifying my life. I am recommending it to everyone I know.
Great app! Get it!
This app lets me add my own recipes. It lets me find recipes on the internet and add it to my list. It figures out what ingredients to list, and the directions and places it in the appropriate areas. If I want to modify something from the ‘net, I can do that. I can add those recipes to a meal plan. It is specific enough to let me add it by date! So if I want to remember I’m making something for en event next Friday, I can. It also lets me add the ingredients to my shopping list, and choose which ingredients I don’t have on hand. I suffer from a brain injury. This is the first app I’ve had that makes it all make sense in one location. I don’t need multiple apps for my kitchen. Also, I had a question about how/if something would work before I purchased it. I received a personalized response within 24 hours.
I love the app! To Developer- one great improvement for building cookbook to print, please add the option to group by collection to the grouping selection.
I have been using this app for over two years now. It is a great app. I love how you can import a recipe through website a picture or PDF file great when you’re reading a magazine and you just want to add it to your app. One fall back though. It does not play friendly with third-party mail apps. If you try to forward or share a recipe via email other than the Apple email app, It has a very hard time sending the recipe if it ever ends up sending. One workaround is to print the recipe. when you’re in the print options of the app, use the little box with the arrow straight up in the top right by the print button and send it to the email program as a PDF file.
This app is a solid 4/5. The functionality and customizability is awesome and I love that they added various widgets. Two things I’m not happy about: 1. I want to be able to be logged in on my husband’s phone as well so that the meals I put on the planner or shopping list show up for him. In its current state, this app isn’t ideal for families that share cooking and shopping responsibilities. 2. I still haven’t gotten used to the usability within the app - specifically, if I am viewing a recipe, but I want to look at the planner or shopping list, I have to exit the recipe then select the planner or shopping list tab. If I select either of those tabs while in the recipe, it automatically assumes I want to add the current recipe to those tabs. I don’t like this and wish there was a different way to add the recipes to the other tabs so the icons can be used solely as a navigation menu.
I’ve been looking for year for an easy way to save recipes from different files, drawers, cookbooks, etc and finally found it with Recipe Keeper. It is so easy to scan from photos or books and then share across devices. I love this application!
Thank you for a fantastic recipe app! For the pro version (which is necessary to add more than a few recipes) there is just a one time fee! I really appreciate the one time fee structure as opposed to a subscription. A subscription would have been a no go for our household. Thank you for making this is user friendly and affordable!
First, I want to comment on the grocery list feature - SO fantastic, especially if you want to meal plan and have the little recipe listed under each ingredient so you remember WHY it’s on your list. Personally I don’t use that feature, but I do use this app ALL THE TIME for grocery shopping. And being able to organize the items into different categories like canned goods and soups versus produce, really helps with my organization. 🙌🏼 Now, for my second comment + the suggestion: So I have over 1700 recipes saved on this app. Clearly I don’t hate it haha. I get a little crazy with things like this when it comes to making a million categories. So I love the endless limit on that, even if it takes up way too much of my time. I’m not sure how to explain my suggestion so I’ll use an example: let’s say I want to find a recipe that is a main dish (course) and uses up what I have in my fridge: spinach (category), beans (category), and tofu (category). And, I want to make my dish into a salad (category). Instead of recipes that include all three categories, ALL the recipes from EACH category comes up. I would love to have an option in the advanced search for a feature like this so that way I’m not scrolling through all of my recipes looking for one that 1) includes each of those ingredients and 2) looks appetizing. Other than this suggestion, I love this app! Also want to say that I LOVE that you use fractions instead of decimals. It is SO much easier for my mind to compute how much of something to put in instead of having to convert a decimal into a fraction (math is not my strong suit).
The app is good. Love being able to scan recipes, and even have pictures of handwritten recipes included. I bought the app on my iPhone because that’s what I use to scan things. I was under the impression that ALL of my apple devices would be linked because they share the same Apple ID. That wasn’t the case. I didn’t realize my Mac would also need a separate purchase of the Pro version to be able to sync my devices. Even the advertising shows all apple devices synced by buying the pro version. That would have been a good place to mention that it would require separate purchases to link all the devices they were showing. After emailing customer support, I now understand my Mac is a different platform/operating system, regardless of the fact it’s using the same Apple ID as my phone. So, bottom line, to share between ALL of my apple devices, it’s two Pro purchases, not one. Just wanted to make it obvious to anyone reading reviews, since it didn’t seem obvious to me.
