I’d give HBO Now a full five star rating if the closed captioning stayed on when each new episode starts. I stream from my iPhone to my Chromecast and have to reopen the app at the beginning of each episode to turn the captioning back on again. Other than that the app is great.
The HBO Now app developers should look at the Netflix app: better rewind and forward options, intuitive to navigate, attractive UI, and generally smoother/faster.
A “Skip intro” option would be nice
The app needs to be easier to navigate and overall better organized. Besides that, my customer service experience was something I wouldn’t expect from such a respected company at all and that just makes the customer experience bad even if the app was phenomenal. No one answered my question or could give me alternate possibilities regarding what I had to say so I decided to send an email and did not even receive a simple response whether I could be helped or not, it’s unprofessional.
I signed up but have to have a provider to watch anything?!

I use every streaming subscription imaginable and I cannot understand why your website/app is so awful. Why do you exit me out of the show if I flip back 10 sec more than once? That’s the most obnoxious feature I’ve ever seen. You would think you’d learn something from Netflix. The only reason I subscribe is bc of GOT. As soon as I’m done I’m off. Worst designed website/app ever.
I keep canceling and I'm still getting charged.
I have an hour for lunch, and two bars on the phone. Thirty minutes later, with a reboot thrown in for good measure, still no streaming. Same waste of time five days a week. Even with 3-4 bars, the app spends more time caching the movie than playing it.
