Weather reports, forecasts, and radar for weather nerds! ***** Featured by Apple, MacRumors, CNet, App Advice and more! "Weather Nerd is a comprehensive package in a gorgeous wrapper." ***** WHAT'S NEW? - Optimized for All Sizes of Devices - Siri Support - Bolder, Larger Text - Tons of New Measurements Like Humidity, Pressure, etc - Forecasts for Your Calendar Events TOP FEATURES - Detailed daily reports (up to a year out) - Minute-to-minute precipitation (see coverage below) - Weather radar and satellite - 3 widgets (next hour, day, week) Purchase includes one year full access. After a year, you can renew via an in-app purchase. ######################################## COVERAGE Weather reports are available for nearly anywhere in the world. If in doubt, go to and try your location to see if you like the report. Radar is currently North America only. The hour forecast is currently limited to US, UK, Ireland. DAILY COMPARISON When you're getting dressed, what do you want to know? "How does today compare with yesterday?" Weather Nerd includes a nice daily comparison: "Today is 9° cooler than yesterday. No rain." This makes it easy to grab the right coat. MINUTE-TO-MINUTE FORECAST Weather Nerd also gives you minute-by-minute rain predictions for your exact GPS location. Powered by Dark Sky's cutting edge "hyperlocal precipitation forecasting system", these reports show you a nice graph of the rain intensity for the next hour based on your exact location. For example, you might see: "Light rain starting in 10 minutes, stopping 15 minutes later." DAILY FORECAST The daily forecast screen shows you a graph of the temperature, rain, and wind for today. Touch anywhere on the graph to view the forecast for a specific time. See more details at the bottom of the screen. WEEKLY FORECAST The weekly forecast shows you a quick graph of the projected highs and lows for the next week, along with the chance of rain. Touch any day to view the full forecast for that day. BEYOND 7 DAYS Need to see the forecast for two weeks or two months out? No problem. Weather Nerd's calendar lets you view the forecast for any date within the next year. NERD OUT For the real weather nerds, the "Nerd Out" feature will list out ALL of the weather information. NERD ALERTS Weather Nerd lets you setup a daily weather forecast alert (in 15 minute intervals). You can turn the alert on/off for certain days of the week. If you set your alert to 6pm or later, then the forecast will be for "tomorrow's" weather. NERD WIDGETS Some of you nerds like to use iPhone and iPad widgets. No problem. Weather Nerd comes packaged with 3 different widgets for your viewing pleasure including graphs for the "Next Hour", "Today", and "Week". ======================== Why a subscription? The average nerd checks weather 4-5 times a day. Over a year, that alone cost nearly 1 USD to our providers. That's not counting additional data used for radar tiles, alerts, widgets, multiple devices, servers, etc. It would be completely unsustainable to charge a one time fee for a lifetime of data. Weather Nerd uses auto-renewing subscriptions. The Nerd Club subscription provides full access to weather reports, radar, widgets, and notifications. The subscription will be charged to your iTunes account at confirmation of purchase within the app. Subscriptions will automatically renew at the end of your subscription period and will be charged through your iTunes account. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. You can turn off auto-renewal at any time from your iTunes account settings. Cancellation of the current active subscription period is not allowed. Terms of Use: Privacy Policy:

Needs landscape mode for iPad

App works well enough on iPhone. However, the iPad version NEEDS landscape support badly. Can’t use the app with a keyboard, stand, smart case, or mounted on the wall.

Big Fan

I love the WeatherNerd. I find it much more accurate than other weather apps. There are no ads getting in the way of forecasts and the Nerd Out info provides everything you need to know to plan your day.

Barometric pressure

Great app, but was hoping you could have a barometric pressure line display showing the rise or fall of pressure throughout the day. This would attract a lot of fishermen and women to use this app when planning their fishing trips or spontaneous outings. Please add the barometric feature

Mostly good except view issue.. screen will not flip.. and can’t scroll days without going to week firstborn

Better by far than the Weather Channel

This app is more accurate than TWC,, WeatherBug, and even NOAA. You get a highly localized forecast that (with 3 yrs of experience) has proven to be close to 80% correct consistently. And I LOVE the “nerd out” features. I astonish my extended family constantly with the info it provides. It is Definitely worth the fee for a yr of accuracy.

Exactly what I need; no more, no less!

This app is a lot like one i used to have which is no longer available. It shows me the approaching weather and i can see exactly where a storm is heading and where county lines are, which is what i need to see on the map- I only need the roadways showing if I’m in unfamiliar places, or out of state! If I need roadmaps I have an app for that!! And sometimes I feel a need to nerd out, and all the stats are right there! No getting lost in an app trying to find one little bit of info i need! So this is why I gave it 5 stars! Would give it more if more were available! Thank you!!

Excellent app!

This app is perfect for the weather enthusiast as well as the all out weather nerd. Accurate, informative, intuitive, and flexible. My favorite weather app by a mile!

Glad to be back.

I switched to Carrot last year. Snarky forecasts were fun for a while, but they were no replacement for the amount of well organized info you get (at a glance) with Weather Nerd.

Paid app + sub but rarely updated

This is a great app. It’s accurate and easy to see and understand the data however it’s rarely updated and you never know if the last update is the final one, we are once again slowly creeping up on another year with no updates, no bug fixes, no new features, etc. I wish the developers liked and cared about this app as much as the users do. I think it’s time to cancel my subscription it’s up in a less than a week. A messages to others considering this app as a first time purchase or those who already have it, check your subscription and consider canceling it, if people don’t buy or subscribe maybe the developers will take notice and give this app and its customers the updates, bug fixes, new features and polish they deserve.

Update: From 2 stars to 1 star...Looks like the developers have gone AWOL, again, on one of their multi-year hiatuses. App support is non-responsive after many emails, even with the issues I’ve been reporting. Looks like I won’t be subscribing again. I got excited with the update in May, but that wears off when the forecasts are always wrong. The data is usually significantly off. What good is a pretty weather app if you can’t trust the data? ****** On any particular day, the “Snow Total” gives x-amount, however, the daily description at the top gives y-amount. Y-amount seems to be the more accurate number, since that number also shows for “Precip Accumulation” in Nerd Out along with the daily description. The two numbers, x and y, are significantly off. Example...”Snow Total” (x) for a particular day = 0.68 inches, but the daily description (y) says 3-5 inches. When I click on Nerd out, “Precip Accumulation” says 5.06 inches which always better-matches the daily description. Why can’t “Precip Accumulation” be used for “Snow Total??” 0.68 inches is significantly different than 3-5 inches for a day’s snow totals.
