The devs stated before that they didn’t want certain characters to dominate certain events but then they release a Red Zone: Fused Zamasu with Intelligence and Physical typings after releasing the Strength Gohan and Physical Trunks. If you’re not a whale you can’t win it’s simply not possible. The odds are so heavily stacked against you that it feels like you need divine intervention to beat that event. While you could just keep trying they clearly don’t want you to win your first day so they limit the amount of attempts you have per day. All so you can pull out your wallet and spend money to summon so you can beat it more quickly. Or wait 6 months for another chance to get the necessary characters to win. It’s just an awful design choice.
This game is very good
This game is absolutely amazing. I used to play legends and I was very skeptical of this game but as soon as I hopped on instead of playing, this junk is amazing.
I can’t pull nothing , but when my gf summons it’s new units everyday
They ruined summoning, and the game is barely playable anymore wish it could be as good as it used to be
Im not gonna lie, this game is just too consistent. I’ve been playing this game for a while now and I still haven’t lost interest. It just keeps getting better and better as well. They are making the game more challenging while also bringing out extremely useful Units to defeat those events. By far the best dragon ball mobile game I’ve ever played.
Breakdown : Dokkan has many positive aspects going for it that are unfortunately marred heavily by several design / gameplay implementations that prevent me from being able to recommend playing it to others. That being said, there is still plenty of content to enjoy for fans of the dragonball franchise, and the game is best enjoyed casually, unless you have the time / budget to invest in order to perform at the highest level (Which is essentially pointless since there’s no PVP, but still) This section is going to be specific about my personal critiques / praises : The Good -Gameplay that’s deceptively simplistic on the surface, with certain events requiring specific conditions / units that encourage you to think carefully about building teams and which characters will afford the greatest advantages in those scenarios. -Animations from all of your favorite moments in the series that have only risen in quality over the years, some animations are close to 1:1 in terms of its original reference, as well as manga-only moments that you won’t find in something like Legends. -Relatively frequent rewards and gifts from the development team, as well as login incentives and bonuses that surpass other gachas The Bad -Unsynchronized versions of the game leading to total dissolution of hype when cool units get announced / released on JP while global players have to wait half a year, also resulting in having absolutely no reason to summon for the banners in between when you know exactly what’s coming and what to save for. (I get that knowing what / when units are coming and to save stones for them isn’t altogether bad, but it’s just beyond bizarre to run any kind of gacha like this, and mostly just serves to destroy the anticipation for global players.) -Horrific summoning rates combined with inexcusably overpriced in-game currency and total absence of pity system. You could spend hundreds in real cash and not only never pull a featured unit, the game also doesn’t have any system for giving people who have spent an inordinate amount of stones a guaranteed way of getting the brand new characters, other than wait to use coins to buy them MANY months later. Genuinely shameful. -Exponential power creep mixed with lazy difficulty design for new events resulting in repetitious and tedious red zone / challenge stages where the only method of clearing them at all for anyone that isn’t a complete whale is to spam support items from the rip and pray for the best. So many bosses are not only completely unaffected by 99% of status effects in the game, but they actually often inflict multiple of those same effects on you simultaneously. These effects range from locking your character slots, sealing your super attacks, ignoring evasion, AOE nuking your entire rotation, and more, leading to an experience that feels unsatisfying and unrewarding when you finally get perfect enough RNG to win. -The development team is infamous for making baseless and arbitrary decisions about essentially every aspect in the game, while also refusing to take feedback from the community, leading to many hype celebrations / releases being completely botched and met with a stubborn refusal to actually acknowledge or remote attempt to fix any mistakes. While it would be unreasonable to expect them to bend and heed to every single thing some random outrage bot spews on twitter, there have been many occasions where the widespread community generally agrees that a unit / event / celebration was mishandled, and in response to legitimate feedback and constructive criticism, they say “nope, it is how it is, thanks for the support and hope you enjoy playing” and it just comes across as an out of touch team of greedy execs making decisions that aren’t based on anything, and it’s just a really weird philosophy for them to take when it would be so easy for them to simply address complaints and make even just a shallow attempt to course correct, but more often than not, they just don’t care to try. It’s kinda sad. In conclusion, I wouldn’t recommend getting into Dokkan if you have a tendency to get somewhat invested in these types of games. It’s very poorly managed, and taking the game seriously leads down a rabbit hole of frustration and spending. However, if you like dragonball and you’re just looking for a time killer, there is plenty to enjoy. If you don’t take the game too seriously, it’s a fairly well constructed strategy orb gathering game for DB fans.
Yeah it's free to download and you can play it for free but you are not gonna get very far and you're not gonna be getting anyone that's worth a darn. to get a halfway decent team you have to spend a lot of money hold hard cash money you've worked hard for. over $2000 was wasted on this game and less than a three months just to get a meteoric team. Save your money save your time save the trouble.
I just finished grinding 50 tickets for the 50 ticket banner as soon as I press summon my hame crashed and now I have no tickets and no new characters why what do i do?
I Love this game
