Can’t get my echo, fire stick and yahama MusicCast to get along
I just need to reset Alexa. Period. Don’t want all the extras, and there doesn’t seem to be a way around. There should be another (old version) of Alexa available for the simple people, like me.
For the most part I live Alexa! However, when I was trying to get a phone number for a neighbor she kept getting the wrong person even though I gave get a correct name and address. It was frustrating!
With four Amazon Echo Dots here and two more in a summer home, I feel as if I can speak with some experience on the marvels of this ‘astounding technology’. Alexa is dutiful, reliable and capable of providing great service, access and knowledge. She has a delightful voice that sometimes surprises the user with her spontaneous responses. I wish she had an unmarried human sister (Smile) But like the rest of us, she isn’t perfect any more than Amazon Help is at resolving her inexplicable reticence to fulfill some tasks of which she is more than capable. Considering the minor shortfall of limited available assistance, Alexa has proven to more than offset any inconsequential intractability. What a superb companion she can be for confined seniors or others. I’m also told that Alexa is a fantastic homework assistant for students. I’m so happy that Alexa and her five sisters chose to live here.
I’ve noticed when using this app especially when browsing and writing writing reviews on Alexa applications that I’ve added that it will cause my iPhone to get quite hot and often crash right after submitting the review. Also please, please, revise the text input method when writing reviews. As whatever you’re using on the app removes all the iPhones ability to spellcheck and even auto capitalize letters. Otherwise the app works well to control Alexa. Just hoping these small tweaks stop it from crashing so much.
My app doesn’t work now
Can’t get her to play any Spotify. She did at one point then that was it.
It seems like I have to set up the Alexa every time I use it. Very frustrating!
You all need to fix the interface. It is so slow and is inconsistent. There needs to be designated areas where I can go to my Apple Music playlists, Spotify playlist, and more.
