Alarms are now a jumbled mess. All alarms are all together, and you can’t pick a device. I have 5 devices making it impossible to set an alarm from the app.
Alexa keeps saying look for the help on my Alexa app there is no help.
Example: can’t change volume unless something is playing... and there’s a pop up notice stating this. If you know it’s a bug, fix it. Or you did it on purpose?? You want to wake up sleeping babies - got it. You want your voice feedback to blast out at 70% on a Tuesday because someone else jammed to some music over the weekend. You want me not to see what’s currently playing... ever. It’s a speaker, right? For music, right? Crashes, freezes, can’t start up. Stupid list functions (or non-functions) This is the worst app I have. I’m stuck with it. Somebody please make a 3rd party alternative.
With all the regular software updates I get for this app, this thing still acts like it’s in beta. I have to constantly completely close and reopen the app to even get it to half work
I love speaking to my Alexa in my kitchen and when I go shopping I pull phone out of purse and there is my updated Shopping list. So handy
Quite sometime ago, this app was doing fairly well with voiceover. Now there are serious issues, such as issues with skills and games list and unable to delete messages. I have let Amazon know about these problems, however nothing has been done about fixing these issues with voiceover. I even let them know specifically what the problem was with deleting messages, and told them specifically that it used to work with rotor actions to delete messages.
I absolutely love my Alexa and the app; I love being able to use Alexa from my phone, whether in my car, in my backyard, or on my boat! That being said, there are some aspects that could be improved. Anytime I try to create a reminder and have it set to remind me on “this device” (my iPhone), it will not work. I also think the ring doorbell settings inside of the Alexa app are not very user-friendly even for a tech-savvy millennial like myself, let alone trying to coach my mother through it. I think some mild tweaking would go a long way.
The last update 222953250 borked the app functions in a few places on my iPhone 8 Plus. You now have no drop down list to choose which Alexa-enabled device to set reminders on. So, no editing, no deleting, and no adding any reminders on any device other than the one you last set something on prior to the update. Also, all alarms, both current and past, for every device show in one long list now. There is no way to see alarms for just one device as a group. I manage my mom’s Echo devices from a distance. She sets MANY alarms. I need to continue to see hers separate from ours, since she has too many to wade through to find my one or two. The new alarms list has the device name for each alarm in small letters under the alarm time, but this is no use when there are fifty alarms to sort through! Deleting unused alarms does not work with her either, as she quickly adds alarms right back in since her nap and sleep times are never the same. Kindly fix this CF of a programming update!
Echo show should open more to allow to install more app. Why only for amazon? Useless...
