It’s very glitchy
It’s a shame when Tinder and Bumble work 10x better than an app that’s supposed to be tailored to Christian people. I’m not sure if “Christians” actually run this company, but they are doing a very poor job bridging the gap. They clearly just want money. My main issue is that as soon as you want to message a person, you have to PAY right away. Tinder and Bumble don’t. The reason it’s upsetting is b/c I meet tons of people on other apps, but because they’re not Christians, the relationships don’t go past friends. I came to Christian Mingle thinking it was going to help but it is an epic failure. It clearly shows that money is the objective and not “purpose”.
I joined ChristianMingle because someone I know had success on the site several years ago. I used non-Christian dating sites before and met several people but our religious beliefs made relationships difficult to work long term. I was eager to give this site a try because it is supposed to be Christian based. Unfortunately, I have had spammers message me multiple times. Some were removed from the site but seen again. I also notice I get random messages from men especially after my membership expires. I’m unable to read or respond to the message unless I pay to renew. That doesn’t make sense to me because if someone has a membership to be able to send a message you should be able to respond to a message they send no matter what the subscription level. It’s very expensive to subscribe compared to other dating websites.
I prefer to use the app but over the last few weeks there have been several times where it crashes, and it rarely works, which is awful since this is a service I am paying to use. Also, the culture of online has become very impolite. Ghosting has become the easy way out, and is still considered rude. Can’t we be more considerate than that? If I’m not interested in the other person I at least let them know, and thank them for showing interest. Just because you can’t see the other person that’s doesn’t mean we should be rude or ignore people. We can do better!
Not worth it at all and it won’t even open most of the time. Don’t bother
I created an account made a profile and now it won’t let me even onto the app
Again and again, but not always, I tap the app on my phone to open it and though it seems to be opening, it just gets stuck. The original app icon fill my screen and then never moves, nor do any menus or options appear and so I can’t enter the site. I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but the problem persists. Do I really have to use my computer every time I want to go on CM when I have a good iPhone?
I was told to open my preferences to find people because I complained that there was nobody new and it seemed everyone hasn’t been on in months. My preferences were not very narrow before. In fact that were reasonably broader then I wanted. The issue 100% is the lack of new options. Maybe that’s why they are so bad about looking at the site before you pay. Otherwise it would even worse. Besides that the app is awful and glitchy. Maybe the worst app I’ve used for anything ever and that has nothing to do with the content or lack there of. There are free sites that are not Christian but are better for options. Honestly I don’t think I would pay 50 bucks for a year over a month.
I can’t even get logged back into my account. I attempt to open the app, but it freezes on the picture of the fish. I deleted the app and uploaded it again, but didn’t help. Really not cool, especially when I’ve paid for the service.
Have to say, i was “pre-warned” about lag time but that’s nothing compared to the last 5 days. The app will not even open. Get the logo and that’s it. I tried deleting and reinstalling, nothing. For someone who pays for the additional features this is pretty disappointing that I cannot even use the app.
