Awesome. I retain the words so easily compared to other apps
Thank you so very much for offering Thai! It is one of the fastest growing languages on the internet. Thailand is also a strategic partner and ally of the USA in South East Asia. It can also be the one of the hardest languages for Americans to learn, as it is a tonal language and because the complex alphabet. The language is sung with short vowel sounds and long vowel sounds actually being held for a short time or long time, along with 5 or 6 different tone patterns for a set of sounds (depending upon the region) creating 5 or six different meanings. The alphabet has more than 40 consonants and more than 14 vowels. Again, thank you so much for offering Thai and all of your hard work! At some point in time, can we add a feature to check our pronunciations? It is good to hear the pronunciations over and over, but it would be nice to get feedback on how the user is actually saying the words, please kindly?
Even without premium it is amazing you learn so many word and the pronoucation to then this app is truely amazing!
Loving this app so far
Seems so easy to use! Just started and I’ve learned so much!!
Wow I only have the free version but this is really effective. Instead of just making you memorize words it really implements them into your memory. Even five minutes a day makes a difference.
Incredible interface and experience!
I’ve always loved learning languages and I’m constantly on the lookout for apps that help. I would say this this is, by far, one of the best apps I’ve ever used for language learning. I’ve tried using Duolingo and while it is very good, I find it aggravatingly annoying that you can only make 5 mistakes on it. I’d recommend that app to people who already know at least a little of their target language because otherwise you’ll only get as far as two lessons before you run out of hearts. With Drops however, THIS IS A PERFECT APP FOR ANYONE!!! Literally, in my first 5-minute session, I learned like 11 words (takes me twice as long to learn that many words in Duolingo). This is a very efficient app and you don’t get marked down for your mistakes! If you don’t like the 5-minutes-every-10-hours, you can buy the premium. In my opinion, it’s worth it, especially if you buy it while a sale is going on. If you don’t want to spend the money, you can watch a 30-second ad for one more minute and you also get an extra 5 minutes for every 5-day streak—you can also skip ahead to different topics by the simple click of an ad too. For language lovers who are also procrastinators with homework and stuff like that, the 5-minute limit is super helpful. Believe me, I’d be doing languages all day if I could so the time limit actually works in my favor. I love how this app teaches and reinforces the right answers. I’d seen it before but didn’t download it until quite recently and boy, do I regret that!! On another note with the comparison between Drops and Duolingo: Drops is more about getting you to learn words fast and Duolingo is more for learning grammatical sentence structures slowly but surely. I’d recommend you use Drops to get started and once you’ve got a decent knowledge in your target language, go with Duolingo. Great combo. I repeat: this is one of the best apps I’ve EVER used for languages. Thank you, Drops!!!!! <3
