Sugar is in everything these days, from boxed cereals to pasta sauces; it's almost impossible to avoid unless you're eating a real food diet. The 7 Day Sugar-Free Detox was designed by the Young and Raw team of expert nutritionists and holistic health coaches to create a fun and cleansing experience for you while you break free from the chains of sugar. Studies show sugar can be highly addictive, so rest assured we've got your back when it comes to kicking it for good! Inside this detox, you're going to find two meal plans to choose from. Our Low-Sugar Plan has small amounts of natural sugar found in fruits. Our No-Sugar Plan is completely sugar free. Refined or processed sugar is incomplete in its nutrient profile, lacking minerals and vitamins required by our bodies for digestion. What ends up happening when we eat sugar, is our bodies have to seek out the proper minerals required for digestion and unfortunately, those minerals are "borrowed" from our mineral reserves. This can lead to mineral deficiency and other health issues that are today, considered "modern diseases". The 7 Day Sugar Free Detox is designed to support: - Breaking sugar addiction - Weight loss - Liver & Kidney detox - Skin health - Balancing blood sugar - Mood balancing - Energy levels - Adrenal fatigue Inside the 7 Day Sugar Free Detox you will find: - Low-Sugar Meal Plan which includes some fruit sugars - No-Sugar Meal Plan which is 100% sugar free - Recipes - along with a list of health benefits for each recipe - Shopping lists - to make shopping quick and easy, you can tick off items from the list - Morning and evening routines - including how to get a perfect night of sleep - Young and Raw's favorite books, quotes & documentaries - Frequently Asked Questions How does the plan work to reset the body? The 7 Day Sugar Free Detox was carefully crafted by experts to get you results while maintaining your sanity throughout the process! By replacing sugar with fresh leafy greens, vegetables, seaweeds and seeds along with an abundance of healthy fats, your body will be less hungry for sugar. In the beginning, you may notice a withdrawal period as your body adjusts to running off of fat and real food rather than sugar and carbohydrates. Be patient with yourself throughout this process, it's not easy, but we know you can do it! The meal plans have everything you need to detox, and because there are no added or refined sugars your liver and kidneys will get a much needed break from processed sugar. For 7 days you're going to experience what it's like to enjoy only real, whole foods but don't forget that diet is only one part of the equation. Proper detox also includes getting enough fresh clean water and optimizing your sleep. Our sleep cycles ensure the body gets its time to effectively detox, renew and heal. The included sleep protocol was designed based on all of the information we have about the importance of optimized sleep and the experiments we have done, to create a protocol that really works. Your herbal protocol is always optional and if you're on any medications, pregnant or have a health condition, it's advised that you speak with your physician and consult an herbalist prior to taking new supplements. The herbal protocol is minimal yet powerful, including some of the most elite herbs for detoxing the liver, kidneys, creating clear skin and boosting energy in the process. In Summary, the 7 Day Sugar Free Detox helps to reset the body by: - Gently cleansing the body and promoting toxin elimination - Gently introducing blood cleansing foods - Providing the body with enough healthy fats to begin removing a reliance upon sugar and processed carbohydrates - Encouraging a healthy sleep cycle - Creates a movement routine to stimulate the lymphatic system, the endocrine system and the detox organs - Hydrating effectively to flush the body of excess toxins and create electrolyte balance
So easy to use and the recipes are delicious! Such a accessible cleanse with whole foods without hidden product placement. I’ve done a lot of juice cleanses and they are so sugar based although natural. Love the educational aspect as well. I feel like this app is supporting me with the best team without spending a fortune. Bravo.
The app was easy to use and the recipes were accessible and very tasty. I did the no sugar plan and it has heightened my awareness of sugar content in everything we eat. Highly recommend.
Whoa this is a big step for me. Lots of “unusual” ingredients for me to try. Yikes! I DEFINITELY had to add stevia to some of those smoothies. Not sure how one could drink cocoa powder with nothing to offset the bitterness of it. I like this challenge though and will keep plugging along. I also like all the informative guides. Lots of info. And the shopping lists are super helpful.
I love this app!! It's so much helpful!!!
It has completely changed my relationship with vegetables and even fruit. I feel more in love with natural foods than ever before. I think it really has kicked my sugar addiction a bit, but I still do plan on indulging every once in a while when I go out or so. But I am definitely going to be incorporating this into my already vegan diet. I always wanted to try going raw but didn't know what to make, and this app has helped so much. I will continue to use some of the recipes I really enjoyed in my everyday life. I never felt hungry even when I stayed up past dinner (no midnight cravings) and every meal didn't feel like a chore or as if I was on a "diet". It's just an amazing experience to taste food with a new perspective in a way. Great app but could use some clarification in some recipes and substitutions and so forth. But overall amazing and a great way to start incorporating more colorful veggies in your diet in a fun, delicious way. Highly recommend this app to those who want an overall healthier diet or just want to kick sugar to the curb! 🌱❤️😊
I'm not sure who came up with the recipes for this detox but it's not ideal. I'm on Day 2 of the low sugar detox and after eating that apple hemp soup for dinner I am completely over this detox. Food to an extent should be enjoyable. The only thing I have genuinely enjoyed on this detox are the snacks. Day 1 was full of Lemon and Lime both of which all recipes required too much of. You guys want us to put in large amounts of the fruits and seasonings that are very overbearing.
Very disappointed that this app is basically just a handful of raw/vegan recipes. No support, interactivity, just reminders/alerts that tell you what day of the "diet." you're on. Still looking for a good app to help me on my journey to becoming sugar-free.
Being that I'm not vegan, nor do I follow a plant-based diet, this has been an interesting week. I was completely unfamiliar with many of the ingredients the recipes called for (hemp seeds, dulse flakes, nutritional yeast...) but was open to try new things. Many of the recipes were terrible, some were okay enough to have again when I am not cleansing. I really didn't like the morning smoothies, too thin and citrusy for me. But, I have found some new ingredients that I will find ways to work into my regular diet, which is great! I found that the grocery lists were inaccurate and the recipe directions were too vague or have errors. By day 3 the headaches were gone and I was really feeling great, I could tell the cleanse was working because I wasn't feeling as 'snacky' and desperate for the next meal. I have lost weight and feel like I really have readjusted my body's cravings/need for sugar. - the grocery list was expensive, I spent about $175 for one week of food from the grocery list, some of which was never called for in a recipe. - if you don't like lemon/lime flavors you won't like the food. - this is a vegan diet: no meat, dairy, animal products whatsoever. This was hard for me to get used to and what I missed the most this week. + the app itself is great, user friendly, easy to use, pretty + the cleanse worked! + I found some new ingredients I will be using in the future
I don't really feel like the app is worth buying without more recipes or further nutrition and health information. Maybe I'm missing something? On the plus side, some of the recipes have been yummy.
Love the wide range of recipes and movement suggestions. Pix are beautifully done and inspiring.
