My go-to recipe app

5
Excellent app for finding classics or new recipes and the comments from users are extremely helpful for taking it up another notch or making substitutions.

Great receipts, less great organizing

4
75% of what I cook comes from this app. I love it. I wish that the organizing were less clunky— you have to save to each folder individually instead of being able to add to multiple folders simultaneously. Additionally, I wish that I could have a default save folder.

Love the Notes section

I enjoy reading and saving some of the recipes. I am no chef but can follow directions and gave good successes. The notes also provide information and opinions.

Can’t live without it

5
I have countless cookbooks, but this app makes choosing a recipe a no-brainer. When my garden pumps out too much of one crop, I search the NYT Food app for delicious solutions. When I want to impress dinner guests, I can count on the app to make me look like a culinary genius. I’ll never give it up.

Too choppy

3
Cruising around recipes is choppy and clunky and way too time consuming
