Travel a lot and thought I’d finally give this a try. I was at Dallas/FT Worth when I saw the ads and downloaded the app. Upon going through customs, the agent notified that they were no longer using/accepting mobile passports. Glad that I didn’t pay for the whole membership. Waste of money and didn’t save any time.
Previous version allowed you to enter your passport data and take your picture ahead of time. I used the older version several times and liked it. Now you can only do it maximum 4 hours before the passport control. For any flights other than Central America or Canada this app is useless!!! If they would at least let you permanently store your passport picture outside the app and then upload it, I could conceivably type my passport info while in flight, but I’m not going to be taking my picture in the airplane seat. So this new app is if no use to me. Greed trump reason again. What a shame
I saved a lot of time by using the app
It helps a lot to save time..!!
We had less than 2 hours for our connecting flight and this app was very helpful. Easy to install, easy to enter our data. Thanks USA for this App
Easy and Fast!
I arrived at Atlanta airport July 16 anticipating a quick trip thru customs. Much to my dismay I had to wait in line 45 minutes. There wasn’t a dedicated line for Mobile Passport. When the agent took my passport and snapped my picture I said this mobile passport is a joke. He said “you’re right, that is why we don’t use it anymore”. So, if anyone is contemplating paying for Mobile Passport, save your money! 5 years of Mobile Passport is around $80. For $15 more you can get Global Entry which includes TSA pre-check. Most of the Global entry machines were standing unoccupied. I wish there was a way to get my $16 back!!!!!!! I would give it zero stars if that were an option. J. R.
