I have enjoyed watching the old British shows like Time Team but the new Acorn shows are really good too! I have Acorn on my iMac, iPhone & iPad. I don’t leave home without it!
Love the shows! Just found out that two of my friends also watch only Acorn. Barely watch Netflix anymore..so dark same with Prime.
Don’t even try! This is one of the worst apps I have ever tried to use. We stream via Chromecast, and I have had no trouble with other apps. However, most of the time the app won’t work at all with Chromecast. I have to go through a long and annoying resetting sequence with my phone, the TV, and the Chromecast device and even then the app resets only occasionally. When it works, it locks up about half of the time and I have no access to controls like pause or rewind. I was spending up to a half hour just to get a program started. I contacted customer service and was told to access the program through Google Home, but Google Home showed had no indication I was watching anything in Acorn. After many frustrating hours I gave up and stream from the Acorn website. No problems with that process, so far.
The home indicator stays on while watching video. This makes it almost unusable. Please fix ASAP!
The app works great on my iPad. My issue is with the limited choices of shows to choose from. It would also be nice to have an app that is compatible with my Samsung television and or Xbox; as I stream everything through the Xbox.
I find the app easy to use. But I’m not happy that it keeps telling me “this video is not available outside the USA. I’m in Texas and the last time I checked we’re in the USA!i pay for it but can’t watch it.
With the big players out there, this service trying to computer with a cheap price, unfortunately it is a terrible one, the app is unusable on almost every device, accessibility is even worse, I can’t imagine how this streaming service will survive , no thank you they are a good example that sometimes a small Componey is just small everything else.
Forgot my password. Have now spent two days requesting the link to reset my password....NOTHING. When I submit a trouble ticket, I get a computer generated response that my request has been received but not a follow up addressing the problem.
Repeated attempts to contact vendor get no result.
I love the Acorn TV! Works great on my iPhone and my Apple TV! But can you do an update to the app to make it go full screen like Netflix and Hulu and Prime Video are able to do!
