This app is wretched. I never in 4 years got turn by turn to announce. Cue panel never showed on planner. I’m premium subscriber and have to unsubscribe even though I deleted all subscriptions on my Apple account. Stay away. Awful. Another bad review.
Not working with my Apple Watch 2 and can download gpx files to my bryton 330
I subscribe this AP with the knowledge it will guide me turn by turn during my ride. I was wrong. This is just like my hard copy map. Sorry I’m not happy. Will definitely unsubscribe!!!
I just got this app and made the mistake of paying $50 for year. I hit navigate and it is asking for more money in order for it to navigate. I’m so angry there is no way I’m putting more money into this!
If they try and charge me 1 cent they will regret it. What a crappy, buggy app for down loading files to Garmin.
Let me just say this app was so good that I am a premium subscriber. Loved the nav, tracking mileage on my bikes, fitness levels, etc. However at some point earlier this year using RWGPS with my Apple Watch as a HR sensor has gotten so buggy it makes the app basically useless. When I start a ride and use the watch app to get HR it misses the first 5 or so minutes of my ride, plus crashes RWGPS when I try to end the ride. And occasionally there will be these strange periods where random heart rates are being captured at random time points, which look like a strange squiggly lime on the HR graph. I’ve been in contact with support about both of these errors. The crashing they said would be forwarded to engineering. The HR errors they said were caused by erroneous data being sent by my HR device, which they claim they can’t do anything about. However, I’m not doing anything new. Same phone, same watch. The only thing that’s changed is the version of RWGPS. Which suggests to me that the errors were most likely introduced by some change to the app, not my watch suddenly sending strange HR data. I plan to keep using the app through the end of my subscription, but if this doesn’t get resolved I will not be renewing.
I downloaded this for a local century ride. I could not get it to send the route to my iPhone. I tried to use the search feature for the route, but it couldn’t find the ride. Also, somehow I didn’t see the price in the App Store, but I think the default is to download the non-trial non-free version. So it looks like an app that doesn’t work and the company uses dubious business practices, I hope people continue to write negative reviews and Rude with GPS will go out of business!
Can discover routes which is nice, but have to pay to use them which is not great
Such a high monthly recurring fee isn’t worth the occasional time I’d like to use this app.
This was the app of choice for a ride/race I was doing. I reluctantly downloaded the app (I was already using garmin and strava successfully), but it wouldn’t scan the QR code provided for the race route, it kept saying it was unreadable. I tried all the various codes provided for the different length rides that weekend and none of them were readable by the app. I couldn’t reach customer support by phone so sent an email to get a refund, at that point riding without a cue sheet. 6 months later I realized I was still being charged monthly, but the subscription fee is charged through iTunes, and not disclosed as an app fee. I thought it was my monthly iCloud subscription. When I contacted customer support, I was told that not only was a refund not an option, but they couldn’t unsubscribe me. I’d have to wade through my phone settings to donut myself. I hadn’t logged in to the app in six months. Their directions to unsubscribe were succinct and the rep was polite, but this App was a huge waste of money. They chose iTunes as their payment vendor when other more transparent and user-friendly options exist, (PayPal, Venmo) and then used the iTunes interface be an excuse for their inability to handle my account. The app was cumbersome and didn’t work from the get go. Not impressed.
