Accurate and easy to use. Nice features included in the app
App works great but the customer referral prompts are ridiculous. I add a friend who’s not in the app to my game as a guest and I’m forced to enter their phone number so the app can send a text to them to invite them to the app. How about you don’t force people to share their friend’s private information just to play a round of golf? That is not my information to share. No way to bypass the phone number so had to enter a fake number and then back out of the prefilled text message that comes up. Also pretty sure they are selling my location and app activity with Facebook. Don’t think I’ve never seen a Facebook ad for golf related products until today, 1 hour after I finished my round.
All of the new items they have added, for example the swing analysis. Not only can you actually what you are doing wrong they provide a way to fix and improve your swing
Used to love 18 birdies... now I have to put in a phone number to add my buddy to the scorecard? Im looking elsewhere for a golf gps/scorecard.. bad update 18 birdies
I used to really like 18 birdies and it was my primary golf app, but it’s gone downhill. There is too much “fluff” in this app now. It’s overly complicated and has suffered major feature creep. The social feature was ok at first, but this app now seems more focused on the social element than just golf. All I want is something that will keep score, track my shots/distances with each club and give me decent yardage. I don’t need or want all the advanced stats or other jargon advertised non stop in this app. Plus, the Apple Watch app is so bad it’s almost unusable. The lag is terrible and the app is non responsive. I can barely use it during a round. GPS never updates and it takes forever to register a touch. I gave the app 2 starts only because I liked it a lot at one point, but it’s a 1 Star golf app. The Grint is much better.
Very helpful if you put in the time and learn the app. Especially reviewing courses prior to playing and make notes and sticking to your game plan.
This was a great app for the iwatch until they decided to make it a premium feature. It was great to start a round of golf, look at my watch and see the app not working but that I had to pay for it if I wanted it to work. Nice customer service, you want it to work - PAY.
I have my settings to allow location tracking only while using the app, yet it continues tracking even when I close the app between shots. Along with playing music on a Bluetooth speaker, this kills my phone battery over a 4 hour round. I have to go into settings and change to the “never track location” option between shots just to keep my phone alive. Infuriating. The rest of the app is great.
So sad. The app is stunning on the phone. All of the premium features are worth the 99$... but I am obsessed with only using the Apple Watch on the course, and it was a disaster. 2 mains problems. 1. The yardages, omg... the phone is always 3 feet max from the watch. And every other app I’ve test driven on this course had no problem with the yardages. But this one is a nightmare. 130 yard par 3, says 366. I have to pull the phone out of the bag, unlock it, and then MAYBE the yardage matches the phone. Unplayable, unusable. 2. After you record your score and move to record putts, it starts you at the bottom of that page, and you have scroll up to record putts, and then scroll back down to move to next hole... this seems like a temporary bug, or their UX designer is on vacation. Devs, product managers, what would make this app perfect for the Watch. The UI is stunning, UX has some very simple adjustments. This is very easy. Just go play a round with it lol. Please, add layup yardages.. to start, how about just distance to a 100, 125, 150 lay up? Distance to hazards and over hazards would be amazing. Golf Logic does it.. but that’s a big project. I’ll be checking back, this is the best app for the phone.. more or less, but Watch is far far behind. Good luck.
Distances were very accurate. Fun and easy to use.
