TOUR GUIDE AS YOU DRIVE AROUND ARCHES If you like driving yourself when you go sightseeing, GyPSy Guide™ tour apps allow you to enjoy a guided tour experience while remaining totally independent. By driving yourself, you'll be able to get from place to place faster, see more things and not be tied to anyone else's schedule. DON'T MISS OUT ON THE BEST SIGHTS AND STORIES The tour apps use your device’s location abilities to play the commentary AUTOMATICALLY. All you have to do is drive, listen and decide which places you want to stop at. Our tour guides have created an insightful and entertaining tour of Arches National Park. We’ll recommend the best places to experience and some great locations that most visitors will drive by. PLAYS AUTOMATICALLY GyPSy Guide knows where you are and which direction you are heading, and plays commentary automatically about the things you are seeing, plus stories and tips and advice. EXPLORE LIKE A LOCAL It’s just like having a local friend to show you around. And that friend just happens to be a professional tour guide. GREAT VALUE The same information you would get on a bus tour or from a guide book, for just a fraction of the price. And you control the itinerary and schedule. WORKS OFFLINE No data, cellular or even wireless network connection needed while touring. Anyone can use them with no need for roaming data – even visiting from another country. DRIVING TOUR ROUTE The tour includes the most popular sightseeing stops and many more: 1) Park Avenue 2) Balanced Rock 3) Windows 4) Delicate Arch 5) Skyline Arch 6) Devils Garden 7) Landscape Arch You can join the tour from Moab or anywhere along the route from campgrounds and RV parks. Since you drive in and out of the Park on the same road, there is different commentary on the way out. NOTES Because the app is filled with audio commentary and maps, its larger than "normal" apps. If you have a limited data plan, its recommended to download over a WiFi network. ++ Continued use of GPS running in the background increases battery usage - we strongly recommend taking a cigarette style (DC outlet) car charger. This is much better than simply plugging into the USB port in a vehicle. ** iPad users - please note that WiFi-only iPads will not activate the commentary automatically. Any iPhone or network-capable iPad (WiFi + Cellular - whether you have a network connection or not) will work just fine. I typically download audio tours of the parks. This one was by far the best. Lots of information about what you are seeing and geological information. Once on the drive the audio uses GPS to know where you are and starts talking.. and keeps talking til you leave the park. Fun and informative!
Very excited! Excellent way to see and learn! We only had half a day at Arches, and this was THE PERFECT way feel what Arches was, how it got to be, and all the details. We are in LOVE with the app!!!!!
We used this in February and loved it! Our original plan was to do the shorter 2 hour tour, but we ended up spending over 5 hours in the park and doing just about every hike. The audio has so much great information and history about that we never would have known by just driving and reading the signs. Tip: Save the visitor center for the end. It’s a nice way to end the tour, but you will have already learned so much about the park, if you run out of time and need to skip it, you will not have missed that much.
Absolutely breathtaking beauty, great day, thank you so much!!!! Great information
We were visiting Arches National Park today! What a great experience it was to ride through the Park with this”GyPSYArches Park” app that I downloaded last night! Only $4.99 for this GPS narrative that follows you through the Park recommending sites to see & more!
App looks promising but couldn’t get Audio to work. Missed the whole value while driving through the park. Make sure yours is working prior to getting in park and out of cellular. Received feedback on my review to start the tour in Moab before you get to the park so you can resolve any audio problems prior to entering. Unfortunately, we missed all the guidance since it is GPS activated and we are back home. You can listen to it at home if interested by Browsing the tour. Nice!
We used this app in both Yellowstone and Arches. It gave so much more information then just reading the signs at designated areas! Gabe you background and history!! Unlike Yellowstone which you can use in any direction in Arches you have to use it front to back. Will always look to see if one is available whenever traveling!! Easy to use.
This is the first time we use this app and it was totally worth it. The guided tour was amazing. Great Job folks, I will highly recommend it
This app is a must have for Arches (and I assume the other editions) and is the best $4.99 I’ve ever spent. It works like magic... flawlessly triggering the guide at GPS points. It’s like having a park ranger in the car with you—pointing out features and giving you directions. The information was informative and entertaining without going “on and on” about every detail. Good for all ages as it is engaging for children as well as adults. Such a clever idea and I hope they continue expand the library as we’d love to have at every national park.
So glad I discovered this app (from a blog post) before we started our day at Arches. The narrator’s commentary brought so much new insight and enjoyment to the stunning visuals all around us. Also, it worked flawlessly the whole time. Especially appreciated that we could download the audio in advance. It even worked in Airplane mode.
