Wish i can install my presets collections i purchased from popular photographers from my lightroom desktop to my lightroom mobile in ios iphone/ipad so sad that it cant. Thumbs down.
I use Lightroom primarily on my iPad, because I travel a lot and it’s easier than lugging around my laptop, and I find the experience of editing in the iPad more enjoyable. Although this is by far the best photo editing app around, it’s lacking just a few things that would put it on par with the desktop version. The main thing for me is the inability to manually select lens profiles. I used a lot of manual lenses that are not electronically connected to my camera, and it would be AWESOME if you guys could add the ability to manually select a lens profile correction like you can on the desktop. If you added this, the app would be perfect in every way for my needs.
Theres hundreds of apps to use for filters and brightness, you have to pay to get anything good
I love Lightroom and how the photo library is set up for you to store images and find them with different sorting filters. Everything about Lightroom is thought with in a very easy work flow so editing is very smooth. The only thing I could say is I wish that there was an easier way to get presets as I edit from my Iphone and don’t have a computer to download presets from so it becomes a complicated process of getting presets.
This is the best Adobe can do? Haha! I probably own ten photo editor applications that I paid fully for the entire apps, without some greedy subscription plan, that put Lightroom to shame in my opinion. I get that this is a mobile version of the desktop app. But, is this really all it offers?! Man! The desktop app must be atrocious then if this is just a small portion of it. I would think it could only go downhill from here on the desktop version if this is how Adobe chooses to represent the program in its mobile form. Lightroom is seriously limited I think, there's next to nothing offered here that was not included in a basic photo editor program over 15 years ago. Well, the 'Selective' and 'Healing' features might be more advanced than that. But, I'm not throwing away money monthly to lease a photo editing application that offers these few, incredibly basic, features. The thought of subscribing to Lightroom is one of the most ridiculous propositions I've ever heard. Seriously. Even something such as the original Facetune program offers way more features than this Adobe app. I thought Adobe was the king of photo editors? Seeing, Lightroom, you'd be more inclined to believe they are the court jester of photo editors. What is offered here is the absolute, most basic editing tools ever it looks like to me. To think and imagine that there are actual humans out there who would subscribe monthly for the paltry features available in this Lightroom app it's, well, scary to say the least. If you want real, decent photo editors that aren't greedy, don't ask for a monthly payment to lease the app and actually offer worthwhile and many more features than this grade school level program. Well, then, here are a few apps I'd recommend instead of Lightroom - - Leonardo - Picshop - Repix - Lightbrush - Afterlight - Facetune (only the first and original version, though, the sequel to Facetune is greedy madness) - Relook - Darkroom - Filterstorm Neue - Mix on Pix - Enlight (only the first version and even then it is hard to recommend because that company is greedy, but, still, better than Lightroom I believe) - Over (I wouldn't subscribe to their garbage either, but the free options still are more professional and top Adobe Lightroom) - Formulas (photo FX app, not a full editor) - Vintage Photo (photo FX app, not a full editor) You'd be doing much better with any of those apps I recommended in my opinion, way, way better as compared to Adobe Lightroom. Most of those apps I listed are paid apps. But, most of them only ask that you pay them ONE TIME and most of them don't do the subscription stuff. And pretty much all of them offer way better and many more varied features than what Adobe is offering here. Before you pay monthly or for anything in Lightroom, I implore you to check out the better alternative photo apps I listed above. Again, though, is this Adobe Lightroom app seriously the best the creators of Photoshop can do in terms of a photo editor application on iOS? Just sad as I mentioned in my review title, sad. It looks like to me that the least amount of thought and time was given to constructing this program. It's like they weren't even trying and just figured your average customer is so inept, ignorant and gullible that they'd settle for even the most basic features out there. With the addition of two features found in most competent photo editors, that they want you to lease and pay monthly for here. I love to support hard working developers and companies who ask that you only pay one time for their entire app or video game and my App Store purchase history reflects that fact. But, I wouldn't be caught dead spending the lint in my pocket on such an insanely lackluster offering from Adobe in this Lightroom application. Seriously, there is nothing offered here at all. I find that they want people to pay monthly for Lightroom to be an insult of the highest magnitude.
I’ve found this slow and hard to use. I have an iPhone X, which is quite a fast phone. Also, I cant seem to get anything to work. Some features appear to be behind a paywall. That’s cool, and I’m happy to pay for apps. Other features just seem disabled, and appear free (no purchase required). What’s the deal with those? I don’t know. The above—what’s free and what requires a subscription—is quite opaque to me.
Won’t let me use due to some service eligibility terms
This app really does (almost) function as my editing software go-to for all my photos when I’m unable to use a desktop version. There are some limitations, but for the most part I have no complaints about the software itself. My *one* complaint is that every time I open the app I’m asked to sign in again. It’s cumbersome and a definite deterrent. If I’m trying to do a quick edit on the fly, having to remember my user ID and password (despite having checked any ‘remember me’ options) is really annoying.
I got this app because I love taking photos and learning new techniques. I immediately tried to sign up for an account but it said “access denied”. I refreshed the app and tried again, but still “access denied”. I was so confused why this was happening. I was so excited to see all the cool features but unfortunately, all I could see was the access denied screen.
I’d never seen my battery drop as quickly as when using this app... The phone gets super hot too after just a few shots...
