For some reason it really makes me stay off my phone, I don’t want dead trees!
I'm in my eighth semester of a rigorous computer science program. This app helps me focus and nudges me to take periodic breaks. Looking back at the amount of time I spend studying for each class gives me a sense of accomplishment. It also provides data I can use to identify patterns and make appropriate adjustments to my study routine.
Super fun and unique way of staying productive. Definitely worth the two dollars.
I respect what is made for us to change BAD habits. Thank you
Every time I want to create a new account, it’s always in processing, and after a while, it says error occurs, so I wonder how to handle it🙃
Using forest has been a really good tool to cut back on my wasteful use of time. I find myself being more focused and present, which helps my moods and overall morale. I do wish it allowed you to have like 1 min to respond to a text before your tree dies. That part is a bit annoying. But I know texting is problematic for some people so I can see why it’s not allowed during a planting session. For me it was really to get me off FB and other time wasters. I struggle a lot with phone addiction and this has helped me to start developing better habits.
I am getting work done.
Gosh I was never able to go more than 20 minutes working on homework before Forest, it has really motivated me and makes me genuinely unhappy when I cancel the tree growth and have to see a dead tree in my virtual forest! I love it so much, I just wish new tree “species” were less expensive than 500 coins, that’s probably 12 hours of “focus time” for one species. I see how that can motivate people to focus and work more, but I think the price should be decreased; people, like myself, like seeing progress and results from hard work:)
I do really like this app and I have fun with it. But they make it really difficult to expand the forest and buy more trees. I think it’s a little crazy how expensive in coins the trees become, and there aren’t enough achievements to get enough coins to buy the trees. So that’s kind of frustrating.
at first I was hesitant I must admit; paying to watch plants grow doesn’t exactly seem worth it, at least as far as my phone activity is concerned. But, I was not disappointed, and am generally satisfied with what this forest thing brings to my studying. Without the app’s requirement to stay off your phone, I would hate this thing because it would never get used
