I paid for Pro. But it shows my account is not pro.
There is literally no point to this app. Recommended matches only want to sell me on MLMs, Blockchain, Bitcoin mining or FX trading. I check once in a blue moon. Out of probably a 1000 matches I’ve had two moderately entertaining interactions
it is impossible to delete my profile, the settings view hangs at the loading stage forever
I don’t know if this is a problem with the app or my iPhone itself but I am no longer getting message notifications and am no longer have the “Badges” pop up.
While the idea of the app is great the reality is a little bit different. If you are trying to network within your area, good luck. The first couple days are usually good (I live in Dallas), but after that about 1-4 of my daily batch are from Canada or somewhere nowhere near my local business. This isn’t even counting the 75% of MLM/Forex/hard sellers in the app. Very frustrating to deal with and maybe not worth the hundred hours I’ve spent on this app over the past 3 years.
Maybe I am using this wrong but I don’t see the point in connecting if the people who swipe me right can’t even message me? Correct me if I am wrong but is this app used to connect with people and contact them within the app? Or must we google search, and contact them separately that way? I am using the free version to test it out before I purchase and I have not been able to send or receive a message to a single person I matched with. Hmm a little confused here. Great concept but not sure how it works.
As a developer I can say this app has had absolutely no upkeep, there was a lack of efforts to fix obvious design issues & there is absolutely no care in moderating the community they’ve made. Do not use this app, when going to delete my profile it would not even let me change my profile picture to a white picture (constantly gave an error) and better yet there is NO option to remove it. Huge design flaw, it’s incredible how they even made this live and left it like this for so long. Secondly, the creators were so clueless they did not consider people who were both students and work, so you are forced to choose whether you’re a student or whether you work. And lastly, the most atrocious part. Nearly everyone on this app who contacts you is part of an mlm. In fact they don’t even try to match with you, they go straight to your LinkedIn account attached and message you there trying to set up appointments to sell you their life ruining pyramid scheme. Kudos to you Shapr team at making a disappointment of an app for entrepreneurial minded people & then failing to do any upkeep, the last update as of 5/22/20 was 7 months ago.
This company is ridiculous! You can’t upload photo on your profile - submitted a ticket 3 weeks ago and they still haven’t fixed it.
This app feels like a platform developed for people to expand their pyramid scheme companies. Work from home, make extra cash on the side, same ole story, same ole song and dance... only now there’s an app for it. It apparently list me as being in Canada instead of NY. A good half of the profiles that are presented are in French which I unfortunately do not speak. If I could network with people in my career field and not be hit with a sales pitch every message, I’d probably change my mind.
When I try to make a post request to update my photo on either web or mobile platform it looks like I never got the tokens to authorize the request. This is the same whether I sign in/sign up through LinkedIn or through the Shapr itself.
