I loved Peggle years ago and was excited to see a new version. New characters with new powers. Addictive game. Fun and challenging but not impossible. Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because occasionally the game doesn't respond when trying to use the special power. It's annoying but not a huge deal.
Please let me buy classic. This freemium scheme is predatory.
As others have mentioned, just too many ads. The levels also shift from creative to almost impossible to beat unless you get a great initial peg setup. Overall, very disappointing. 2 stars cause at least It kept me playing thru til the end.
This game is fun, but why are there SO many ads if I only get 5 lives at a time? I should either be forced to watch ads every time I lose a life and be able to play indefinitely, OR get 5 lives at a time and have to wait to play again. You know, like all the other games. Also, every ad is 30 seconds long, while certain levels last only a few seconds if you can’t beat them( the egg hatching levels), and there’s no way to gain extra lives without paying real money. Get over yourselves.
You have to watch ad after ad after ad! An ad at the beginning of a level, an ad at the end, an ad if you win, an ad if you lose. Too much!!! The old version was awesome, not enjoying the new!
I’m not going to say a lot that hasn’t been said before. The mindless microtransactions are annoying but I found a way around by closing and reopening the app whenever you are about to lose a life. I’m writing this review because of the amount of notifications I’ve received from not playing the game. Yesterday, I got 20 total notifications from the game say the same thing about Peggle Masters. They were clumped together as maybe 5 would come in the same minute. It’s not right in any way to have this many notifications for a game that’s just telling you to get on for Peggle Masters. I’d understand for life regeneration, but not just needlessly reminding you to play the game. It’s a great game, though most of the later levels rely on the luck of where the orange pegs are placed. There’s skill to it too, but I think luck overweight it there.
The ads have definitely gotten out of hand. No one wants to watch an ad after every single game. I prefer the old Peggle.
This game, based on an amazing and fun game from way back when, is a testament to how EA and modern game developers want to screw over the costumer for their own bottom line. Do not start to play this game, you will absolutely regret it. This game cheats, sometimes force quitting when you are one peg away from winning or even stopping the ball mid air to make sure you don't hit any pegs. I have even seen this game pop up with the "you lose" splash screen as the victory music begins to play in the background. This game will make you want to throw your phone against a wall, and EA will laugh and take your money and ad revenue while you do it. Would give 0/5 stars if I could. Try a better game like Roller Coaster Tycoon Classic, you'll probably have more fun and spend less money anyway. TLDR; try something else, please.
This game is literally rigged up to help you lose. Impossible levels, no “luck”. Do yourself a favor. Don’t install/uninstall. Piece of garbage
I use to play this game as a kid so when I found out that it was available for download on the App Store I was very excited. However, the ads are starting to push me away from the game. Every time you push a button besides aim and fire you have to watch an ad. I am not one to spend money on an app but if there was an option to pay to remove ads, I would! Until the game removes the ads I am going to delete the app.
