Fun game but it’s reset all my progress five times now
A silly game of chance that, despite having ads before every level (and sometimes after), has a lives limit and charges outrageous rates for power ups. Keep hunting for that whale.
This is Peggle, but with EA's grimy hands all over the product. As a Peggle lover from the Pop Cap only days, I was excited to have Peggle on my phone to play anywhere I wanted, and for a while overlooked the Candy Crush like elements of the mobile version. I un-installed at level 38. I had been trying to beat this level for a day, and had to wait for my lives to restock to try again. Three lives in, and I finally cleared every orange peg. Excited to move onto the next level, the game had informed me I failed because I didn't score enough points. That isn't only "difficulty for difficulty's sake", which I can handle because it makes the eventual victory sweeter, but when you combine that with a lives system that encourages me to spend actual money, I'm out. I not only have to clear orange pegs, difficult enough, but now I have to make sure to have enough points too? Pop Cap made the best small, addicting games and I basically threw money at them to get their gaming version of drugs. Now, with EA, I can't uninstall fast enough.
EA makes really good games. Unfortunately, they are also an unconscionably greedy company.
The game was fun for the first 30-40 levels, but then the levels just become frustrating. The game becomes unreasonably hard for all the wrong reasons. The levels hardly rely on skill.. you just have to get lucky. I frequently spend 20-30+ attempts on levels now just to pass them, so if that sounds fun then I guess this game is for you. I also get pay-to-win vibes considering you can purchase power ups.
Every time I beat a level I get an ad(even though I paid for the game) that won’t close. Very intrusive and obnoxious. As soon as I can figure out how to get a refund, I am.
The game is fun but you have to watch an ad after almost every level. Way too many ads.
I have never played a game with so many ads. Most games offer a purchase price to remove ads... I’d be happy to pay. Until then... delete!
There is just no excuse for this many ads even on a free game. Also gameplay wise, sometimes tapping on the screen to release the ball at a timed moment doesn’t work, not very responsive. I love Peggle on the computer by the way. Some things just don’t cross over
I played the original Peggie game and loved it! But in this new version, there is an ad between EVERY level and I spent way more time waiting for ads to finish than playing the actual game (less fun than the original but not terrible). I deleted the app part way through because I lost the patience for ad after ad. Expected better.
