Description

Experience the magic of GPS audio walks, cycles, drives and even boat rides with VoiceMap tours in over 350 destinations worldwide. They’re like podcasts that move with you, to tell stories about what you’re seeing right now. VoiceMap’s tours are produced by insightful local storytellers, including journalists, filmmakers, novelists, podcasters, and tour guides. Sir Ian McKellen has even created a tour. It's around London's West End, where he’s performed for over 50 years. Features: • Explore at your own pace. Start and stop tours whenever you like, then use the resume option to pick up exactly where you left off. • With GPS autoplay, you can focus on your surroundings, not the screen. Tap on Start, and let VoiceMap guide you. • VoiceMap works offline. After you download a tour, the audio will be available offline along with an offline map. • If you do go off in the wrong direction, VoiceMap plays an audio alert, and you can follow the map on your screen to the next location. • Listen to tours as many times as you like both in the destination and in virtual tour mode at home. • With over 1,000 free and paid tours, VoiceMap offers huge variety Reviews and Testimonials: “High-quality self-guided walking tours...Narrated by local experts, they provide insight into corners of the city sometimes overlooked by regular guided tours.” Lonely Planet “We may be biased, but could there be anything more helpful than having a journalist in your pocket when touring a new city? How about a historian, a novelist or just a really passionate local? VoiceMap culls city-specific stories from them all and fits them neatly into walking tours.” New York Times “My wife and I really enjoyed exploring Bruges at our own pace with this audio tour, and there were some memorable stories that the narrator shared. Also, the app worked great in relation to the location-based services. We easily followed the map and the audio was triggered in the appropriate spots. In comparison to the packs of people wandering the city with tour guides, this was a much better fit for us.” Viator review, Rick A “Brilliant. Can go at your own pace, good information and took us to places we would never have found ourselves.” Tripadvisor review, Ravin D “It was enjoyable to be under no time pressure to freely roam the city of Pisa as we so pleased. Wandering from attraction to attraction. The app is clever, concise and easy to use! Would do again - especially with another person or solo traveler.” GetYourGuide review, Grace L “Great quality information - interesting and entertaining. The time flew by. And no waffle! This is far better than any other guided tour we found - they are much more expensive and far less informative. And you can do this tour any time, any day, at your own pace, and even do it twice!” Tripadvisor review, Carcassonne 's Medieval Walls: A Self-Guided Tour “Great value for money, interesting and very clear and easy to follow! I learnt lots about London I didn't already know and I have lived here over 30 years.” London’s Alternative History Tour, Carmella V. “I loved the tour, bought all of the New Orleans ones you had and have already recommended it to two people. I will without a doubt continue to use the app.” Faith & Courage: Metairie Cemetery Stories, Jeremy L “Loved this! Real eye opener for me as a new resident of Singapore who thought this only an island of foodies and engineers. LOL! Please produce more soon!” Artoholic Singapore, Craig DeLarge ** Just so you know, GPS runs in the background while you're on a tour. This decreases battery life and it's best to start a tour with your device fully charged.

Wonderful way to walk, learn and see

5
We’ve just started using VoiceMap and are very pleased with the tours we’ve tried (Krakow and Prague). The voice guided tours are fun, flexible, easy to use, and very informative. We like to walk so they fit our touring style nicely. I am sure we’ll use many more as we expand our travels. If you enjoy walking and seeing sites without being in a group this app may be for you. There are also tours for some interesting things that you won’t find in organized tours.

Dubrovnik walls tour

The commentary is very good, the issue is if the sun is out the screen adjustment on smart phones makes viewing your map/guide almost impossible.

The Heart of Vienna

5
This is a must tour you should do especially if you are with friends or family. So easy to follow. You can stop to take photos and take as much time as you need. We wish we found this tour when we started the Europe tour in London and Munich. Vienna was our last destination and decided to give a try in Vienna. It was really good.

Dijon Tour was Superb

That was a great short walking tour, especially as I am architect. My wife and I enjoyed learning about a bit of history and the stories embedded in owls, salamanders, and cats adorning the buildings. Thank you!

Amazing Hollywood History

5
It’s Amazing to me how the creators of this and other Southern California audio tours research and share such fascinating history and back stories of the areas they highlight. It changes a simple walk on the Sunset Strip into a distinctive tour and lesson of celebrity history you would like never know about the area without hours of research on your own. Thank you Mindy and Jerry for what you create and this Fabulous, Memorable walk on the Sunset Strip!
By no robo killer for me!

Cheltenham

Very interesting and informative. Thank you for a great walking tour of this city. It took longer than 90 minutes because we got lost a few times. It was well worth the money and time spent. I wish more cities had a tour this good.

No better way to tour a city

5
For our Mediterranean cruise we downloaded tours for several port cities. We love for so many reasons. My husband and I share a pair of air pods so we can both listen. We get to start whenever we want and we can always hear the tour. We can easily pause to explore a shop or have a meal. I’m recommending this to all my friends.
