Create, edit, and collaborate with others on spreadsheets from your iPod, iPhone, or iPad with the free Google Sheets app. With Google Sheets you can: * Create new spreadsheets or edit any that were created on the web or on another device * Share spreadsheets and work together with others in the same spreadsheet at the same time * Get stuff done anytime -- even without an internet connection * Format cells, enter/sort data, view charts, insert formulas, use find/replace, and more * Never worry about losing your work -- everything is automatically saved as you type * Protect your spreadsheets with a 4-digit passcode * Open, edit, and save Excel files
yesterday’s update fixed almost everything that the previous one broke. The only problem remaining is that it will not let me enter stuff into fields if the caps lock button is pressed. Since almost everything I enter is capital letters it is a bit of an inconvenience but definitely better than the last update. Thank you!
I don’t see why it can’t be just as functional as the web version, which I end up using on my iPad—but it’s a bit frustrating that it typically forces me to use the App. Hopefully this isn’t for long and the app becomes full fledged in functionality
I love sheets and depend on it a lot but the recent change to remove double-tap to edit on a cell (with a value in it) IS INFURIATING! We now have to hunt for a tiny pencil/edit icon all the way on the right of the cell details div/pane/whatever. It's horrible in practice! it's astonishing that no Google Sheets UI/UX person spoke out or noticed this degraded usability. It was so convenient for editing before and now it's horrible. In fact I've just uninstalled the app and am using desktop mode sheets in Safari to avoid this horrible UX blunder 🙁
Whenever I open the sheet that has been updated and different computer crashes without fail. It would be updated right now but this is been happening for a while.
Typical Google making poor usability updates to its products. This time they’ve added a pencil icon that has to be tapped to edit the text in a cell. Why? It was much easier when you could tap anywhere to edit the text. They’ve also remove the X button on notes to quickly clear the note. Stupid, unnecessary updates and just a total lack of care for usability.
Not even an option to turn off that dreaded edit button?
Great app, but.. 1. I don’t like the new button you have to tap before you can start typing in a new cell. Previously, you could go to a new cell and just start typing. Not anymore.. well, you could, and I do it all the time, but, your time will be wasted because you didn’t tap the new edit button that is now a required step every time you go to a new cell. 2. The app reloads just about every time I come back to it. This may be a RAM management issue with the phone but I am using the 12 pro max and this is the only app this happens with in my experience. This wouldn’t normally be a big deal for me but it slows me down when I have to wait for it to reload, tap the sheet I was working in, and find my place within that sheet. This, all while I’m working against the clock, and trying to enter information as we go along. I would use something else but my customer uses this for their documentation.
Who’s brilliant idea was it to make it harder to enter data? I used to add my data quickly and efficiently now I have to hit edit for every row. Completely unusable garbage now!
Pretty much unusable for anything other than viewing spreadsheets.
I wish the app supported filters (even if just activating existing filters that exist in the document, or choosing which column to sort by. It can be a hassle to get the sheet to open in the browser in order to be able to use this functionality.
