Bought LogTen pro back when it was a onetime fee plus a fee for a new versions. Which was already expensive, all good and well then they switched to a subscription system. I understand that developers have to be paid but it’s kinda a d*ck move after I already paid for the full version before. There are very few updates, none of them deserve such a hefty yearly fee. I took two stars off for the high price and subscription model. Features I would like to see: 1. Add iCloud sync for the configuration of fields and also other settings. It’s annoying to setup on all devices. 2. I don’t want to add the prefix for my airline flight number every time, can this be automatic? 3. Why does it not recognize the departure / arrival airport when I enter a flight number? Even mccpilotlog has this... Okay that’s for the negative, now positive. - Better than mccpilotlog overall - Nice UI - Syncing works well - Fast
Sent multiple request for support via email and after a month still no reply....... So much for 2day response time.
No communication been trying over a week with problems.
LogTen Pro has literally been a game changer for me as I can keep track anywhere any time of my progress. It is really versatile and gives the pilot the opportunity to customize or configure logging fields. It has a lot of options that will definitely make you a more organized pilot!
What a joke
LogTen pro is a great logbook. However there is one bug I've discovered which is very irritating. When taking a picture or adding a picture to an entry, it leaves the entry and goes back to the latest entry I've added. And I'm trying to add years worth of flights and current, daily flights. When it leaves the current entry, I have to scroll all the way down and try to find the entry that the app just left. Also, I don't see a total time location in the logbook section. For example, wanting to see how many how's I had for my first solo, or how many hours I had total before my Private checkride. Maybe I am overlooking this one. Feedback would be appreciated.
How do I import my flights from my schedule with envoy after I’ve flown them so it’s less time consuming to enter every detail for every flight? Edit: is there anyway to save/sync my logbook in the cloud instead of only being local to my iPad???
Amazing app for pilots have been using it for almost 5 years now and I can’t change it for any logbook, so unfortunate I can’t pay subscription for more than a year. I recommend it to all pilots 👍
I have read the developer response to to the complaints about subscription pricing. The amount they charge for features added compared with the original outright purchase is a joke. Not worth the subscription fee. Also, beware if you upgrade your ipad or iphone. The transfer from version 6 never did work and now I have lost a years worth of flights again. Time to go back to paper.
I am new to digital logbooks and what they have to offer. I bit the bullet and bought the $130 subscription. After spending 3 days to import my 900+ hours, it’s nice to have it imported. The UI and features this app offers is fantastic, but the pricing model is a bit much. $130 yearly subscription for an app that I don’t need to change or upgrade. Thinking about it now, ForeFlight offers an almost identical digital logbook for pretty much the same price, PLUS all the features that the ForFlight has to offer. I don’t know if I’ll be sticking around with this logbook into my airline pilot career.
