I absolutely love this
Anybody looking to get this app, I suggest you don't. It is extremely hard to navigate, and the search bar basically does nothing (it doesn't search for what you're looking for). An example of this is when I typed in "Hamilton You'll Be Back" and Bohemian Rhapsody and other songs like it came up.
So this would be a 4 star, but there’s one thing that I think would make this app a whole lot better. That thing is, to be able to make score sheets in the app, or at least have an app that solely focuses on the ability to make score sheets that pairs with this app, as in you could upload scores you make in the supposed sister app from this app. And I haven’t exactly come across some of the issues other users have had with this app, except for when I try to open score sheets that are very long, so for instance medleys which tend to be over 10 or 20 minutes long. Every time I try to open a very long score sheet on the app, it freezes and I can’t do anything except for close the app and relaunch it. Meanwhile, the website has little to no problem opening the same exact score, and just to be clear I use a laptop that is over 2 or 3 years old, it’s a Dell and is not exactly great, and I use google chrome as my default browser. Other than that I don’t have any real problems with the app, and if you could conjure up something that allows users to make score sheets on their mobile device and upload from this app when on the go, that would be quite a make up for the mentioned “issues” that users comment on that I can’t seem to find or come across.
Doesn't have all the features that the desktop version has, is frustrating to use Messes up the sound of compositions I do not like it at all
I am not a huge fan of the app as it has a limited search quality, no way to upload, and a million other things that are just buggy. However I got a free pro membership for being a longer term member ❤️
So it plays the music alright and offers a couple nice features like transposing and changing the tempo easily, but it really could use some improvement. Every time you tap the music whether it’s playing or not, it resets to the first page, making stopping to read the music or return to a part a pain. The best way to get back to the part you were at, rather than flipping every single page, is to let the music keep playing and return to the next page when the music moves on. The top bar that shows the title often obscures the music, so you either have to endure that to be able to stop the music or use any other functions, or you get read the music better, but have to deal with the previous problem or resetting to the first page whenever you want to pause the music. It plays the music and you can read it, but it isn’t ideal to do both at the same time. If you’re on the go, maybe it’ll work well, but if you’re at home, you’re better off using the desktop version.
I love MuseScore, but the bigger compositions don’t work at all. When you try to load them on safari, they just don’t load at all.
They always seem to have what I need or something so close to it that it’s definitely workable. I will definitely keep my membership!
At first everything was going well but then the app started lagging and wouldn’t let me turn the page. It’s so frustrating because it actually has good pieces.
