Slow it down. More repetition
I have been using this for a month now and I am struggling. For me this does not seem like for beginners. They throw so much at you without a lot of review in my opinion. I have the option to go back and hear what I learned or do 10 question reviews, which is good. I don’t think Babbel is for me and don’t see myself speaking a language anytime soon. I will keep using it but only because I paid for a year already. In my opinion, this app is good for people who already have some knowledge of the language they chose.
I’m already learning faster than I thought I would.
Where am I in the big picture? What’s next? UI too cumbersome.
You cant just use flash cards whenever you want. You have to wait a certain period of time to review, which means you may not see a word you are having trouble with for weeks before it appears on another flash card. Additionally the app determines when you have learned a word proficiently, regardless of your comfort level. A HUGE, simple (and seemingly obvious) improvement would be to be able to build your own flash card decks in addition to the ones generated by the app. Additionally, there is no feature to practice declining verbs, or identifying different forms of nouns. You’ll learn how to change a verb to match the subject by seeing it on a flash card that comes around once every couple weeks, as opposed to just being able to drill declensions. Super frustrating.
I am giving Babble a 4 star rating because I do not think that it is necessary for someone to have to pay so much money to learn 5 sentences and then have to pay more. But I love how Babble walks you through the lessons, so it definitely deserves a 4 star rating.
Me gusta que si no digo la palabra bien la vuelve a tirar hasta que la pronunció bien
I download babble recently to learn Spanish. I tried a lesson and was excited to continue but I had only access to a few lessons. I would have paid to get more but it is very expensive. Duolingo is the top learning language software.
I’d prefer more phrases, things I can use on the street and in stores.
I’m learned Spanish Feliz
