Update: Now the ads that repeat ad nauseam (pun intended) —a problem they keep pretending they’re trying to fix—actually *flash* a barrage of pictures at you, making the mess even more annoying. If they wanted to convince us they care about our experience and are really trying to fix this months-old problem, they could do one simple thing: STOP SHOWING ADS UNTIL YOU’VE FIXED IT. Awaiting the crickets or excuse on that idea. Because no; showing an ad for the same crap thing 20x in a row makes them 20x the revenue. Previous, followed by canned developer response that’s easier than fixing the problem: Wrote a longer and very critical review. It “mysteriously” disappeared. Jswipe has had the same bug for months: it gets stuck on the same ad over and over (like, you could swipe left 20 times and it’ll still pop back up) and sometimes does this with profiles. Users have this problem across all os and versions, as you see from reviews. They know it’s a problem, have known for many months. New update hasn’t fixed it. Maybe because they can profit from users seeing ads repeatedly? Saying they just can’t figure it out leaves users thinking they think we’re naive and gullible. Also, it’s a wasteland at this point. Very occasionally a new user appears in the area, and I live in a large city. Probably because it’s so buggy. Don’t bother.
After deleting my Facebook account I can no longer use the app. Disappointed that there are no alternatives to Facebook for logging in considering Facebooks many privacy problems (for which they’ve been fined millions of dollars so far), unethical human experiments (the mood manipulation studies), and data breaches. Once upon a time Facebook seemed like it made sense for logins but now? It’s 2019...
The purpose of Jswipe was to bring together Jewish singles who are seeking out something which is important to them—seeking out other Jewish singles. This app used to help us navigate our already limited pool of prospective matches. I am a little annoyed by the lack of transparency of the app. Other apps are up front about what paying for membership means (more matches, targeted advice etc..); however, jswipe maintains that you have full access to the people without paying(and only the extra features cost money). It is abundantly clear based on my own experience and others with whom I’ve spoken, that the “basic” jswipe is not the same as the old. I get shown the same people over and over again, and where a few months ago I had 50+ matches at a time, now I only have 5 (and it’s not because of anything changing on my profile). This seems like a change in philosophy of the app, not a technical glitch (of which there are many). The fact that jswipe is a Jewish app made me stay as long as I did. I used to be a strong proponent of jswipe, however, if things don’t change soon, I’m going to send all my friends to the nicer boys of Hinge and Bumble.
App glitchy, either same person comes up twice in a row (or an ad that needs to be swiped more than twice). Many times the yes or no fxns are unresponsive, like working w Windows. I think the active profiles are dwindling as well.
How do I change my Facebook account I don’t want to use this account
I don’t live in Costa Rica, And another Catfisher Imposter, David Bobo , In Tarpon Springs, fake profile, kick him off insane guy
Money is the religion of this an much more apps, if you pay it woks if not, doesn’t work. It’s a scam as all of the apps.
Amazing way to connect with others
I really want to give this app 5 stars, but for the past several updates I have been unable to view anyone’s photos, even after matching with them. Every time there is a new update I think “maybe the problem will get resolved,” but it never does...
I’ll go days without looking at the app only to open it and be shown 2 profiles (likely ones I’ve already seen) before it tells me there is no one else in my area (I live in a region that is one of the most heavily populated Jewish areas in the world). Either the developers are trying to get people to upgrade to a paid plan or users are abandoning ship en masse. Don’t waste your time.
