This is a pointless app unless you upgrade to the pro.
I feel I’ve had a mental workout! Fun and challenging and it’s rewarding to see progress. Also very colorful and full of variety.
I enjoy games such as these, however I am disappointed in the scoring. If you are truly bettering yourself, it should be recognized. Sometimes all games are higher than previous and score goes backwards. You can look at your game and see that the score meets criteria for next level, and then the scores don’t seem to matter. I do not have the paid app, but if this is reflective, I won’t be getting it either. I do however, like the idea of challenging your brain every day!
I train with this app each day to keep myself sharp!
Please fix the big X on partial match
This was the only “brain game” I could find that has an actual free trial - all the others want you to create an account with a card that will automatically be charged after a week or so. In the beginning, I’d open Peak, play “today’s” workout, choose to watch a video to unlock the full workout, watch one ad, then I’d play the last three games (ad free). I had the option to play each game again if I wanted to watch an ad first. Perfectly reasonable! I was excited to find an app with an actual free trial! Of course only a few games are available, but enough were that it didn’t repeat the exact same games every day. I felt like I was being given a chance to see what the paid experience would be like, because I chose when to view ads. I was at the point where, for the first time, I considered paying what, to me, is a hefty price. The only hesitation I felt at that point was that it’s not a one time payment, it’s a subscription. Which makes paying for this a little like a gym membership... so I thought, if I can remember to play daily for a month, I know I could stick with it for a year and decide if I wanted to renew or cancel. Then it happened. I opened the app and started the days workout. Ad. I was surprised. First puzzle played, got results, hit ‘next’ and...ad. Oh no. Puzzle, result, ad. Oh no! An ad played between each game. The same ad. The exact same one. Over. And over. And again to unlock the full workout. And again, between each puzzle. I understand that this app has science behind it, that the games, the progression, stats- all add up to the price point, which is high but not completely unreasonable for what you get. Perhaps if there had been a variety of advertisements it wouldn’t have been so jarring to suddenly start seeing one between every interaction. My scores that day plummeted compared to the previous day. The next day my progress was a bit better, but going from ads only when I chose to view them vs. being forced to watch them felt...like I was tricked. Into what, I don’t know, but I don’t like the feeling, so I am deleting this app.
I love the games and can see progress every time I play. My only gripe is that many of the games are more a vision test than anything else. Low contrast, tiny print make it difficult.
I just was using this yesterday and I love it so much! If you want my opinion, here it is... D O W N L O A D T H I S A P P
After having the app on my phone for a year, I'm dropping my rating from 4 to 1 star. Not because of the quality of games. The ones they "allow" you to play are good. Unfortunately they tease the good ones then pull them out of circulation, leaving you with lame math games and cheapo "tap the screen" games. Want to buy the full version? Have at it! It cost as much as a premium movie channel. Shut up you cattle and give them your money! *update. Now you can’t even replay a game without paying them $34.99. Honestly screw these guys.
was solved by Customer Support. I have revised my review and enjoyed using this app today! I was able to understand the directions for all but one of the exercises. My score was zero on that one. I recommend this app as a brain exercise as well as eye hand coordination. @$19.99/yr On a fixed income, I’m not sure it will be high enough on my entertainment expense list to make if the promo price changes. Hopefully my price was locked in at purchase. to revise my rating if Peak would honor the price I paid and give me access to PRO features for the time I have not been able to use the app. Thank you.
