In a “follow instructions” activity they have a video of two adults asking a little girl (about 14 months old) to show them her belly button. She promptly pulls up her shirt and one of the adults touches her belly button. This is such a terrible idea. We should not be teaching children to show adults their body parts and then allowing them to be touched especially by people who are not their parents. This app seems to be geared toward establishments that offer daycare etc in addition to individuals. I’m no ok with this type of lesson being in here. I feel children should be taught from the very beginning that their bodies are THEIR bodies and that their autonomy should be protected and safeguarded. Why not ask a child to point to their belly? Or shoulder? I’m not saying diaper changes and bath times are somehow a violation of bodily autonomy (I know people out there will think that) but generally speaking I think we need to be very careful about the messages we’re sending children.
A few months ago I downloaded this app and with less than 3 days uninstalled it so I wouldn't have to pay. Even though I uninstalled it, the app charged me 29.99 for one year. Then I downloaded it again and even though I put the same email and password, it doesn't open the blocked parts. They took my money and left the activity tabs blocked.
Articles do not open to anything! I’ve tried for months and I can never open articles. Waste of money.
Baby Sparks is a great application for Moms and Dads to use. BabySparks helps your baby develop Motor and fine skills as well as sensory skills and more. I highly recommend this application because, it will help you and your baby interact with different lessons daily. Each day is a new lesson and along the way you can track what’s easiest for him or her to do. There is a scale to monitor what is easy and what is hard for baby, you can easily see what activities are progressing and what actions need more work. Try this app out to gain a new perspective on brain development for your baby. You will be happy you did.
As a first time mom I needed some guidance for teaching my baby new things so I signed up for this app. It constantly crashes or freezes. I get emails for the online classes, but I can never actually view the options available. The page just keeps loading.
Me and my daughter love doing all the fun exercises every day. It helps her brain grow and it’s great bonding time!
Videos wouldn’t play??? So now I’m not that excited to use the app nor use it as I thought I would.
I like and enjoyed the online classes for parents!
Love this app!
My baby is 18 months and she’s enjoying these activities. I often do open ended play with their suggestions. For example the tape walking. I put toys and I ask her to bring me a color or shape. I LOVE IT!
