I have tried several gps apps and this the best one by far.
Once I found out you have to hit ‘simple’ to have the app work appropriately, I started getting good yardages. Now, I can’t end a round. Oftentimes, when I start a round, it picks up from where I ended my last round and I can’t get out of it. If I hit delete (the trash can), it doesn’t delete and bring me to the home screen. When I hit ‘save as a check-in round’, the circle just keeps spinning. If I close out the app and reopen, it usually picks up right where my last round ended. Wish you guys could fix this or let me know how to operate it. Thanks.
My Golf Buddy watch broke and I needed a substitute for golf today. Worked great and only used about 20% of my battery in one round. Highly recommended. Might not buy another watch.
Simple, easy to use, but watch apps need to have distances to hazards to be useful.
Paid for the upgrade but nothing happened. Contacted developer but no response.
My course changed and they had it updated twenty four hours after the request.
I was about to spend $550 on the Garmin rangefinder. I put this on my phone just to try. I was thinking surely it couldn’t be as good as the video I saw on YouTube. After playing my first round of golf I was super impressed and it helped me with my course management. Hard to beat for $$FREE$$
Have used for two rounds, distances right every time, much better user interface than previous app. Distance to any spot (dog leg, trap, etc) is easy to use and very helpful. All for free! Premium offers better maps, which would be nice eye candy but not necessary. Love it!
For a free app, Hole19 exceeded my expectations. It also works with my Apple Watch quite well - much to my surprise. You’ve got nothing to lose, so give it a try!
When I was shopping for a range finder, I discovered that I could purchase an Apple Watch for not much more and download this app FOR FREE. I’m so grateful that I pulled the trigger. This app gives me everything I need as a beginner, and my more experienced BF always asks for my app details. Not only can I get front/back/center. But I can use my phone to map the course. It even allows me to see the yardage for a layup on a dogleg. I love it! I also like that I can share my scores with friends. It adds a nice friendly challenge, even if you don’t get the chance to play together.
