Does not work with Apple Watch!

Metrics, specifically speed and distance, do not show up for outdoor runs. After being helped by a very nice Peloton tech person (uninstalling app, reinstalling, rebooting, checking settings, permissions, etc) he admitted that the Apple Watch sync is buggy and app needs an update “coming soon”. I’d like to know when! Otherwise if just following along on iPad it’s fine. Some classes are not challenging enough but there are lots of choices. UPDATE: I received a message that the outdoor runs do not, in fact, aside from the heart rate, show metrics on the Apple Watch. Training without seeing metrics in real time on the watch is useless. And why did the person helping me NOT know this information. Peloton, I enjoy my two Peloton bikes, and the app in general, but WHY can I not train properly on my outdoor runs??? Seeing metrics after the fact is not helpful!

Dark Mode (its 2020!) Second thing, better apple watch integration. I should be able to pull up audio runs for outdoors without my phone. or at least start a tracked run/walk. OR count my apple watch run/walks in the peloton app. not taking my phone with me for a run every time.

A wonderful app, with room for user experience enhancements

Let me start by saying I absolutely love the Peloton app and have nothing but positive feedback to provide. I’ve had the app for a week and have used it daily since purchasing my bike. I have about 4 weeks until my bike arrives and plan to continue using the app even after delivery. The list of non-bike/tread classes is quite extensive & extremely enjoyable. Not only can I fit some type of activity in every day, but I have the option to remain active and utilize my Peloton subscription, while traveling for work. I quite like the ability to filter classes by type, length, instructor, etc. But this would also be my one critique and noted area of improvement for the app. As a user, I would like to see additional filters added for: -equipment (none, workout mat, light weights, etc.) -boot camp type (bike, tread) While each of the aforementioned.items are offered as collections, the option to filter would greatly enhance the user’s experience. In doing so, multiple filters could be selected at once, providing both a unique search and experience for the user.

If you can afford the monthly membership and want a wide variety of options then I highly recommend. However, the app always crashes mid-workout when I am Airplaying it to my tv; and then it ends your workout.

Disappointing Watch Companion App

Let me first start by saying I LOVE Peloton and all of the classes offered. My favorite have become the outdoor running classes. I was thrilled to learn there was an Apple Watch companion app, so I bought an Apple Watch with cellular service so that I could do my Peloton outdoor runs without lugging my phone. I was excited to start my first run and quickly realized the companion app doesn’t provide any audio for the outdoor run classes! So my master plan (and the primary reason I just bought an Apple Watch and cellular service plan) has fallen through... ugh...

This app is fantastic. I highly recommend it to anyone thinking about it. There are great workouts for any level. I appreciate the knowledge of the instructors and their ability to take workouts and training to any level of fitness.
