This app would be awesome simply because it’s NOT obnoxious, filled with ads, or asking to send you spam, but it’s even BETTER than that because it’s designed for *actual* use, the interface is clear and attractive, and it doesn’t hold your data hostage if you want to export it and take it elsewhere. If I were to design an app to meet my needs as a nursing mom, it would do exactly what this app does. It has smart defaults but also customizability via the settings. It has a great dark mode! (Nobody nursing a baby at 2 am wants to blind themselves when they log that info in an app. Why has no one else figured that out?) It helps you log milestones but doesn’t try to be a cutesy baby album. You can keep your baby’s data entirely private, too. Other baby apps tout their community and advice articles. This app doesn’t have those things and is better for it. (I get plenty of unsolicited parenting advice already. No need to sign up for more.) I tried several baby tracking apps with my first kid a few years ago. They were all frustrating in one way or another. I’m using this app with my second and have no complaints.
I love a great majority of everything on this app. But the charts are not easy to read, and my dr wants me to use a different app for that alone.
I am so glad a friend told me about this app! As a new mother it is nearly impossible to keep track of what time my baby ate last much less which side she ate from. This app is so easy to use and you can keep track of as much or as little as you want to in regards to your little one. I love having the ability to look back and compare days on how much and how often she has eaten, diaper tracking in the early days, and it is so helpful for pumping and tracking any medications too! I also like that if I close it out it opens back up immediately with all her information right there and doesn’t have to load like most apps do. I love this app so much, I don’t know what I would do without it!
This app is great for tracking most things. Sleep on the other hand is frustrating. There are two options for how sleep is added up and neither fits real life. Split at midnight automatically breaks the overnight sleep into two days, otherwise the sleep remains on the day that it began. In real life, I want to know how much my child slept the night before. When there are wake-ups in the middle of the night, this messes up tracking because the first half of the night stays on the day before and the second half goes on the next day. Middle of the night wake-ups are reality for anyone who has an infant and most likely all users of this app. You can set daytime and night time hours, but this doesn’t seem to change the breakdown of sleep totals. Pretty frustrating when trying to look back patterns. It would also be nice to be able to record how well the child went down for the night and crying in the night that doesn’t result in a wake up. I like the nursing tracking, but would be great to add an end time since nursing may start and stop. I have just been putting it in notes, but it would be so nice if time would auto set for when you stop the session, but be modifiable after that.
This app is perfectly great for me and what I need. Easy to input info to bring up to the pediatrician later. I’m only using 1/2 of it, but I know as my newborn thrives, the more I’ll use the other half. On the other side, this app knows when to go from daytime with colors to nighttime with black gray and white. However, like my newborn, it had its days and nights mixed up. It’s like it never quite gets the fact it’s daytime now, or that it’s nighttime and it can change back to the calming darker colors. On that note, I’d suggest downloading this as it’s a really great app! Update: silly me! I didn’t realize it was shake to change daytime/nighttime. So shake away, moms and dads!
I never review apps but this app really has everything. It’s easy to use, things change easily if you made a mistake, and it’s fast! It was exactly what I needed! Thanks
I love this app just wish they would let you delete something if you mess up when putting info in! I put in a feeding time twice by accident and it wouldn’t let me delete it! Otherwise I really like it!
After using this app for five days I’ve noticed the only thing that could be improved, is not being able to change the date. For example: at 11:49pm I finished baby’s diaper change and at 11:52pm I started nursing however I didn’t immediately log the diaper change as baby was being really fussy for food. So now when I go back to log it in for 11:49pm it’s already past 12am and it logs it for the future instead of 20 minutes ago... I find it crazy that I can log it for the future but not for the previous day. I also forgot to immediately log in a couple naps in the day and wanted to do those both as well but unfortunately the same thing happened I can make a future log for the naps but not for the previous day. I feel like this should be something that could be easily fixed.
I really enjoy this app. Couldn’t find anything better!
I have been using this app everyday for 6 months. I initially downloaded a number of apps to track my breast feeding but they were all too busy or had too many steps. This app is clean & straight forward. The graphs and trends for sleep and eating have been very helpful as we transition our son to a schedule.
