I really like IPVanish. The app and service are reliable and very good.
Plenty of servers to choose from but I have had constant problems with dropped or “stuck” connections. Have to turn off the vpn and then try another server or uninstall and reinstall or log out and in again in order to get it to work again. Addendum: This occurs on iPhone and iPad continuously. PC desktop works fine off of the same wireless connection.
New message today, my paid IPVanish was off. When I went to turn it on, it said my actions on my phone would be filtered and monitored. WTH. I want a refund.
This VPN does not allow me to gain access to NETFLIX USA.
Very poor connection
If I have it installed on my iPhone and iPad I can’t connect my iPad to the iPhone hotspot. Even if it’s marked as a trusted network. Even if I turn it off it won’t connect, as soon as I delete the certificates and uninstall it everything works. Response to developer: I had called apple support because I thought it was a problem with an update, we did try removing it as a trusted network, and actually turning it off, and uninstalling the app. It wasn’t until the certificate was deleted that the hotspot worked, and we tried uninstalling on both devices. Apparently this is a known problem to Apple support because they suggested I uninstall it and the certificates to get the hotspot working, so it’s not just me. I tried customer support and it was useless.
when I go to the dark web I want protection and it often drops me. I have to keep connecting. It also will not hold my favorite places. I want to show NYC, Carolina, Texas and it always goes to NOLA. I have never told it to choose NOLA. Sets itself. On dark web, I was dropped last week and some dude broke into my phone and asked me about my saved channels on my YouTube. Scary AF! Fix this issue!
Seems to work fairly well. Quits more often than I would like. The biggest issue is some sites block access when using ipvanish. Maybe a new refreshed block of IP addresses might help?
We never knew what a VPN was, till I watched a Troypoint video about VPN’s. Same with Debrid we were clueless about a lot of stuff. So we started watching a lot of help videos on U tube. It’s nice to get help with problems with our fire stick. What I love about IPVanishVPN it was easy to understand and we like being Anonymous when we’re online, on fire stick. And being a senior and on a fixed income we can afford IPVanish. I love that at 71 I’m a cord cutter, I didn’t even know what a cord cutter was lol That saved us about 100 bucks a month. My advice to anyone who’s new to all this craziness is get the IPVANISHVPN (it’s awesome), Troypoint (love all the help and tutorials and watch some YouTube videos from very knowledgeable people. Curiosity café is one of my favorites plus Troy point. And don’t forget about the Debrid it’s awesome. Thanks so much, Julia and Greg
