First off. My original review was removed. Valley Honda talked me out of the onboard navigation for Honda Link and Honda Navigation. Well. Works only 50% of the time. Doesn’t work when you need it. Inaccurate maps when compared to Apple Maps and Google maps. Doesn’t connect 50% of the time. Locks up mid trip. Honda Link rarely works. Gave up dealing with Honda Service. Gave up dealing with Honda Customer Care. Don’t trust Honda technology. Was looking to buy a new car in the next month. Because of this. Won’t be a Honda.
I was suspicious because of all the bad reviews, but finally pulled the trigger. I’ve found it to be very capable in my 2016 CR-V EX, since it isn’t equipped with CarPlay. I’m a satisfied user.
DO NOT DOWNLOAD! DO NOT DOWNLOAD! THERES NO HELP & NO REFUND! I bought my car used about three months ago. This weekend I Purchased all the cables and the app so that I can turn on my HondaLink Navigation. I followed all of the steps, At only Apple cables etc. -BUT I FOUND OUT- It doesn’t work with the 11 IOS! It tracks my position but it can’t find any addresses, search addresses, or search catagory. I called ALL the Honda customer service numbers provided on the app info, and nobody can help. I’ve been trying to get my $59.99 back from the App Store, because it doesn’t work as advertised and the response is, “We’ve determined that your purchase doesn’t meet the conditions for refund” DO NOT DOWNLOAD!
If i accidentally purchase this app, is there any chance that i can refund the money? Cos im not using it
This app instead of mirror, turn and freezes my right side camera. Completely useless.
This piece of crap doesn’t work, was a wasted money. Don’t fall for this junk.
Unfortunately, I have to agree with the other reviewers, the app needs much more work. I have a 2015 Fit EX, and have had difficulty getting and maintaining a connection. When I do get a connection, I get one “frozen” screen, then nothing until I reboot the phone. Other times, it won’t even connect, giving me STUPID error messages, such as “HDMI cable not connected” ON THE Honda screen!!! How can we get hold of the previous version that is “supposedly” better??? BTW - the app seems to work O. K. when running “stand-alone”, although there are better “stand-alone” apps, such as “INRIX Traffic”, which is FREE!!! How do we get refunds??? Or better versions??? SOON????
This app is dangerous to use with the head unit touchscreen, even when selecting an address from favorites. If we could search for an address using dictation it would be a lot safer and users would be more eager to use the app instead of illegally using the phone with google/Apple maps in hand.
One of the most expensive apps I’ve ever purchased considering it no longer works. How can I get directions with no service?
If I could give this a 0 I would. It was expensive for an app and it doesn’t work. Honda should be ashamed.
