This is the most best app ever
This is one of the best apps i’ve used and my kids love it 👍🏻
I rarely write reviews but, as an educational therapist who works with struggling young readers, the addition of Fast Phonics on here has been an excellent update! Really covers the important aspects of phonological awareness that most kids need to become strong readers. Plus the app has a great math program that costs only a few dollars more, so we use this app to keep up with all the basic math and reading skills now. It’s not 100% flawless (don’t think hat exists in an app!), but the best one we’ve found.
App stops working periodically. My daughter is constantly logged out in the middle of learning. Also, every month I have problems with billing. They cancel my subscription every month and I can’t use the app for a few days until I contact customer support to find out what it going on. It’s ridiculous. I would get a different app just because of that. This has happened every month that I have the app. The material is decent, but you will constantly have to email customer support to get it working. Work the kinks out of your app!
We love reading eggs! My child is very responsive to everything we have done so far. There are problems, however. The first problem is Mathseeds glitching on us almost every day. It either won’t load or it plays the same part over and over. I’ve had to delete the app and redownload to fix the problem. That wouldn’t be an issue but it happens way too often. We also have the same issues on reading eggs it’s just not as often. The next issue is on some of the games if you accidentally select the wrong letter of a word you can’t fix it. Many times my child will graze the phone and accidentally touch the wrong letter, but she isn’t able to correct her mistake. All we can do is spell the rest of the word wrong to restart the process of spelling the word correctly. This is very frustrating for her. Last is fast phonics, at the end of each map you have to read a book. There are characters with names (let’s say Jim is the name) they don’t introduce the word/name Jim until right before the book. Even though it’s the word blending concept it is hard for my child to get. I feel if the end book is about “Jim” then the word Jim should be introduced in the beginning of the map to allow a few days of practice. My child is struggling with blending words and the way this is formatted is not helping her. In the word blending sections they will say the letter sounds and then the word, then they want you to say the letter sounds and word. (They give you a few seconds to answer then they repeat the sounds and word) However they don’t allow my child enough time to get all of the letter sounds out before they have basically told her the answer. I wish there was a clickable button where the parent or child could push AFTER the child successfully said the letter sounds and word. This is meant for beginners as a teaching tool, but they don’t allow much time for a learner to remember or blend the words. Sometimes my child has to blend the words 3-4 times before she can make the word sound like it is supposed to. Overall my child loves this app and begs to play it. I just wish these issues would be corrected or we might show around for something a little more her speed and less glitchy.
My brother was on level 101 on Reading Eggs he loved playing on the app then he got this quiz and he told me he refused to do the quiz then he was crying on the sofa and I asked what was wrong he said Read eggs Made him restart. what the heck?! Why would you make a child restart their progress?! That is insane! Can you please tell us how to restore data on your app,
Completely stuck, fix ASAP please
I’ve been using Reading Eggs with my son for the past few weeks and have already seen tremendous growth, particularly with his math skills. The stories and games are engaging and well thought out. I like the progression in Mental Minute for example. I feel there are some key flaws in the app that cause it to be unresponsive. The blue screen for example shows but there is no way to advance or restart. This happens a few times a day. Kids understandably can’t figure out how to troubleshoot a stuck app which means the parent has to intervene, manually quit the app, and restart play. Sometimes this upsets the kids flow. If these app issues were resolved I’d be a five start reviewer and would recommend to friends and family. Thanks.
Great when it works and runs smoothly, which is almost never.
flash out again and again，we can’t use it today
