Ordered from McDonald’s. Waited an hour and a half total for it. I got paired with a dasher Margret after a little while and when I went back on the app 15 minutes later, she disappeared from up app so I figured she ended up cancelling my order. The tracker will still continue to count down though according to what they told you when you initially ordered. Then, 45 minutes later, I got a notification saying my dasher was still on the way to the restaurant and that my food would be delayed. Lie lie lie- they still had not even found a dasher to pair me with probably. It’s incredibly frustrating because if DoorDash knows they can’t fulfill the order but they will not tell you that- they will just keep playing you. Instead of giving you an option to order from other places before they close, they have you sit there on the edge of your seat hoping. It went past the delayed time they provided and still nothing. Now I’m trying to cancel and “this may take a few seconds” has taken about 15 minutes now but go figure lol I literally expected it. When I went to cancel, it automatically offered me a refund to my card which they obviously did because they messed up. Just ordered from UberEats and my food is picked up and on its way, got the call from the driver already. I regret not just going with UberEats from the beginning. It’s 4AM. Doordash, this is pathetic and you seriously can’t expect to retain a customer base like this. Truly ridiculous.
Order never came and the app kept telling me the order was being prepared...then changed to “ETA unknown.” The restaurant had closed at this point...I tried to call a support number but they DON’T have one. I was number 200 in line to chat with someone...horrible customer service! Never using again.
I have nothing but positive things to say about this one! The app is so user-friendly and accurate, the drivers are kind and punctual, the food was delivered hot in cute door-dash bags, and the way you order is so dope for being a picky eater. Probably going to be doing this from now on for deliveries!
Really dumb to tip before receiving food. If driver does a terrible job. Or cancels or never delivers food you have now tipped them for nothing. Drivers always receive a good tip from me if they deliver my food. Ive ran into a situation with a driver not delivering and receiving the money back for the order but not the tip. It makes no sense to tip before you’ve even received a service. Will be using Postmates from now on.
App updates are for fixing issues and updating software not making it worse. I am unable to order food because I need to “update and have the latest version of the app” well I do. I also restarted my phone closed the app several times and checked the App Store over and over. Not only am I unable to order food. I wasted my time messing with the app and called customer support and there was nothing they could do. So much for convenience. I would’ve just ordered to go or delivery directly from their website but I spent my time trying to use the useless app and wait on hold for customer service that the restaurant is no longer accepting orders. Definitely lost a customer today. 74% of people are likely to switch brands if purchasing is too difficult. After one negative experience 51% of customers will never do business with that company again. Americans tell an average of 15 people about a bad experience (word of mouth is free and impactful press). US companies lose more than $62 billion annually do to poor customer service. These stats are as of 2017 from helpscout. We’ll learn constantly at Purdue that it is more expensive to try to gain new customers than it is to retain loyal customers. I get that things happen but expected more respect from customer service whether or not they could actually help me at this time.
Charge me for door pass when I was expecting a charge after 30 days for a free trial.
I think it’s ridiculous to ask for a tip before the service is completed. Makes no sense to me. I think it takes away the want for the driver/restaurant to do their best in providing you great service whether you tip good or not. I also don’t want to waste my time dealing with customer service for $2-5 because the driver sucked smh
Ok first I was changed twice for the same order so I called Door Dash. They told me that I needed to send in my bank statement. I did and it had both charges and then they told me that they could not give me the money back. Now today I ordered food for the family and they said it was delivered. It wasn’t and the person delivering it said that he texted and said he was at the door. Now they want to give me a credit but f that I want my money back and you can F off. I will never order from here again and I will post it on all of my social media sites to never give Door Dash a dime for this horrible service.
Thank you for your service. Very convenient for a person without a car.
Horrible service . Third time they have an errors on my orders. They continue to mis what I order online. Instead of having the correction order delivered right away they give you a credit. What good is it getting a credit if you continue to have these mistakes. The purpose of having food delivered to someone is to avoid going to that place but what good is this company if this service continues to delivers missing items and leaves you with an unsatisfied meal.
