They get an A+ for responsiveness to issues, but they get a C- for providing helpful responses. I just started a new business. I don’t have a public business address, and I don’t need one as a service area business on Google My Business. But when I tried to link my GMB, Housecall Pro said I need a service address. When I contacted support, they have unhelpful answers, saying they couldn’t bypass the ridiculous rule. They didn’t even try to help. They didn’t explain the reasoning, didn’t speak to the dev team, nothing. Just no. The website service they provide is really weak. You get only a landing page. The builder is even weaker and extremely tedious for making edits. The app itself is a bit buggy as well. They have potential for sure, and you can’t beat the price, but it’s not good enough right now. I would give them 5 stars if they were willing to work with me. But they’re not.

I have canceled my subscription with them months ago and they keep billing me and telling me that I have not canceled my subscription properly even though I have and email directly from them saying that it is canceled.

Let me tell you, I do not leaving bad reviews. I would just love to work this out and move on. I have enough to worry about then to take on some money hungry, greedy, email answering service that’s 3000 miles away on the other side of the country. I don’t know what else to do. I have been trying to get somewhere with this company after almost 3 years and every time I get the same result. If you want this service start with the biggest plan. But I don’t even know if you should do that because I don’t have that plan and it may have it’s own “fine print”. I started on the lowest plan and they hit me hard on a percentage of each estimate, each job, and who knows what else. They did tell me that but I didn’t really think it through because I wasn’t doing a ton of work and really didn’t think much of it. They hold your money for 2-3 weeks sometimes on bank transfers and sometimes they refuse to allow transactions that are above a certain amount without a ton of the customers personal information. So days after the transaction, you follow up on thousands of dollars and if you do not comply they refuse the transaction. Then a year ago I got so tired of the nickel and diming that I upgraded my plan to the grow plan and added the service agreement add-on (that should be apart of it). I was told not to worry about canceling the first plan because it would cancel out. 3 months later I happened to notice I was getting charged for both plans and 2 service agreements and still getting charged for each call, estimate, etc. and when I try to get to the bottom of it, they tell me hours after messages sent “we are gonna move you to the next tier, must be some kind of bug we’re trying to fix”. Then you can sense the attitude on their end of the message when you voice your frustrations like I’m trying to rip them and other people off. My message goes there to die. I never get a truthful response. I just have to watch my account and then request a refund. Then they’re not individual refunds. Some of them are compiled so you have to search for what you have and what you don’t. I would use a different company but I’m so vested in this software that it’s going to be like starting all over. I think it’s gonna be worth it because I rather be unorganized than to be ripped off any longer. Hopefully this gets to someone that can do something more than move me to some invisible tier. HCP charged me more than $7000 in charges last year. You’d think they’d want me to be happy. I just want the service that keeps my business together to be truthful with me. Next stop, Legal Advice. Wonder how many more people are getting shafted?

The app is great. We just wish the customer service rep’s would improve customers matters. When we get into a situation with card payments and etc , there isn’t anyone to lend a helping hand.

This app always gets my iPhone hot. And also when I get a notification for a new job, when I tap the notification it no longer takes me to the job. I have to go find the new job.

Pros and Cons

HousecallPro definitely tries to make the customer interaction more seamless. The customer service and support is amazing! They have lots of great widgets and apps to keep track of everything. The only issue is the inability to customize invoices and it gets quite confusing to navigate invoices and such.
