I used to get notifications and now it doesn’t give me any. I’ve looked all over the app and in my settings and there’s not a spot for it.
Used than less a month had to keep submitting identity documents verifying I am who I say i am,couldn’t accept payments without verifying each time!customer’s weren’t happy waiting longer while trying to free up the funds for materials.worse you get some rando middle easterner that has no clue what your talking about,customer service is trash!
Great as long as it works but once an issue arises it’s quite a headache to get resolved. We have been unable to process service agreements through the app for weeks. We have reported the issue and then received zero communication since. We have reached out regularly through their chat feature and we always receive the same response verbatim that I’m beginning to understand means “don’t call us, we’ll call you”. I wish that they would allow a phone conversation but it appears that is only permitted when they have something to upsell you. Because of the lack of communication and the serious issue regarding service agreements we are looking into options other than Housecall Pro.
Lots of benefits to using this program. It still has a few quirks. When data cell reception is bad it is almost useless. If a service call is dispatched or added to the system schedule for the day the app does not register and our technicians cannot see it. They have to refresh or reset the app. Kind of an annoying feature. So we still have to contact our workers to tell them to update their app when they get a new call or updated information. Overall it has made us more productive and is a valuable tool for the service industry. Thank you!
Housecall pro in itself is an excellent program that’s easy to use. The app however, is really glitchy.
Dear app developers! I will open your eyes now! In this world, there should always be an alternative, if you are trying to make life easier for an entrepreneur, provide alternative payment processing options. Find something else besides Strip to accept and process payments, and then you won't lose customers by offering them crutches instead of legs!
This system had great bones. They keep piling more and more “features” into it. Even if you don’t want the features you have to work around them. The tech support will not call you only chat. Any issue they have they tell you they will “put it up for a pro vote”. Weekly calls in regards to how they want you to use credit cards so they can collect more $. Get use to hearing “have you tried deleting the app and reinstalling it?” Search feature is hot trash.
Overall the app is very functional. The issue I see is once an estimate is approved, it turns green (on my app). Once it is copied to a job and completed, there is no way to change this. I would suggest an option to be able to change the tag to say ‘completed’ and maybe with a blue highlight. I have pages of approved and completed estimates. Some (customers) take longer to respond and they may be missed as as they all show the same. Just a thought.
This review is dated 3/5/2023. I’ve done a lot of business with Housecall pro. If you are looking for a software to better your company or make it more efficient, DO NOT USE THIS PROGRAM. I’ve been waiting for multiple transactions to process through the program for almost a month now. I even connected the instant payment, and that hasn’t helped at all. Housecall pros customer service is horrible and irresponsible. They want to do everything through a chat window and can’t get a live person on the phone to solve any issues. I believe they have some deep company debt issues that hinder them from paying out to there pros. I warn you, do not trust this platform with your companies finances, you will be frustrated and left vulnerable to get money that is yours from a company that is stealing peoples money. I would’ve left 0 start if I could
The on boarded me they were really cool upfront with their first hour of training. Once I signed up, they disappeared on me… that’s fine I was able to navigate to the software it’s very user-friendly especially with a little practice. Now this is the bad part: they said I could start taking I took three deposits from my beds that I won. Three days later they refunded the deposits what you made me look like a fly by night company and scared my customers. SHAME ON HOUSECALL PRO. Their job is supposed to help me grow my business in Fact, they’re killing my business. Nobody knows how to contact any higher up there. The CEO is protected there’s no contact there’s no email and there’s no integrity.
