I paid for a premium subscription and I can’t use the app on my iPhone 12.
The free trial period is only seven days when you sign up by the app. When you download this app you will get an email that will tell you that it is 15 days. This is not true. You will be billed for the full subscription, if you do not cancel within seven days.
I was skeptical at first, because it gave forecasts that were different than other sources like weather.gov or boatus. I went out to Catalina and the conditions where as predicted by buoyweather-this team is very legit, same guys as surfline. ultimately you get what you pay for.
Makes planning trips easier Accuracy usually good to a week
The app indicates that wave heights are not available, however from NOAA, they are. There was a Small Craft Advisory in effect the first time I used the app, but the app gave no indication. The app gave me the indication that it would be a great afternoon for boating, but that was not the case. Use at your own risk, or go directly to the source for the information.
I’m always skeptical of anything related to predicting weather, however, this app has impressed me over the last couple of years. Although the premium version extends the forecast to 16 days, my experience is to trust up to seven days. After that it drops to a 50/50 scenario… still not bad since predicting Mother Nature can’t be conquered. If you’re a boater, don’t think about it any longer, buy it.
Wanted to test it and I download it but I cannot register. Error message. “The operation couldn’t be completed. User not found”. Help. Cannot use app now.
I like the app but you’re Buoyweather 101 on the website is broken. I’d like to learn what all the terms in the forecast actually mean. Moderate chop means? Etc.
Even the free parts of the app are great. Spring for the premium though. It’s very useful.
