Some parts of the interface are intuitive and well designed, like the overview of your smart devices. But try to set up a “routine” and it’ll turn into a convoluted, confusing process really quick, disappointing for a Google product. The automation options are surprisingly limited, even for time/date selections. I can set up a “routine” that’s every weekday for a select time, but there’s no control for temporary changes like a planned holiday or vacation. Every once in awhile a smart device disconnects with no notice or diagnostic info.
It’s been years since Google purchased Nest. Why do I still have to use the old Nest App for my Nest Smoke detectors? The interface for Best thermostat in Google home is also horrible when compared to Ecobee.
When it ones to lights and you are handicapped this is a great object to have
The device keeps dropping connections from great to weak without even touching or moving. Tired of doing hard reset multiple times.
The app hasn’t allow me to add additional family members since we’ve downloaded it. It’s a garbage app. Highly recommend using another service if possible.
I can’t open a port for my ip cameras. After I set the rule for the ip address and hit save it will not save.
I love this app and the way everything “Google” is connected and fairly seamless BUT is there any way y’all could make a routine setting that allows music to be played on multiple speakers or Google devices? My routine will start and play music but I can’t ever get it to play on multiple speakers in the routine… Would greatly appreciate a work around or fix to this! (Also I’ve tried every way of phrasing this in the “Try adding your own” routine setting….)
When you hit turn on camera it should actually turn on.
Google Hime is garbage. I got a nest thermostat from my power company and it’s a piece of crap. Google Home doesn’t consistently work and they track you. They don’t make a product that works and I hope that the government shuts them down. This is a terrible app.
