$8 a week after free trial?? NO THANKS.

Look, I get it. People that work hard to develop an awesome app deserve to get paid for their efforts. I’ve used this app since 2013, and honestly could have sworn I paid a one-time premium fee a long long time ago (maybe to remove ads??), but maybe I just have that confused with something else. I would HAPPILY pay a one-time fee comparable to the cost of, you know, an actual physical guitar tuner. I’d maybe even pay a little extra because of the convenience of always having a tuner handy on my phone. But $8 a WEEK?? Are you crazy??? If I had been paying that fee the entire time I’ve used this app, I would have spent nearly $3,000 just to tune my guitar at home myself. And to the developers - please don’t bother responding to my review with your “oh but you don’t have to pay because we’ve got this free trial” nonsense. What are we expected to do after the free trial? PAY $8 A WEEK or never use the app again. *rolls eyes*

Cannot use basic tuner without trial or subscription.

The old free basic version was awesome and simple. You are no longer able to access it without “trying” their subscription. There is no option to proceed past a subscription trial page for the basic tuner. They’re hoping you don’t read the fine print or past the buzz words and get your money. Bummer.

Worked great and simple overall!

lol what happened

Makes you pay $8 a week now, so I deleted the app. That’s a ton of money for a tuner.

Subscription $8 weekly!??

Used to be great app. Now requires subscription of $7.99 a week. That's over $400 per year! Sad. A very poor business plan.

Read reviews first

Wish I would have read the reviews first. I was looking for a quick up to tune up a guitar. It looked free. It’s not. I wasn’t about to set up a subscription that they hope I forget to cancel to be able to use the app. I don’t mind paying someone for their work. But the way you’re trying to trick people is slimy. I backed out and downloaded a different app that let me tune my guitar up quickly. It’s a good app. I wouldn’t have found it without your help. Thanks for making me look a little harder. And developer, don’t worry about replying the same reply you’ve given to others. Not interested. I’ve moved on. Btw, first review I’ve ever written. Congratulations.

Developer ruined a great app

This used to be a great app, one of my favorite music apps. Unfortunately, the developer recently added a subscription trial that is impossible to decline even if you only want to use the basic free version of the app. The only purpose I can see for this change is to take advantage of people who don’t understand that they have to cancel the trial or they will be billed $8 PER WEEK until they figure it out. I would be happy to pay a reasonable one-time fee for this app but nobody in their right mind is going to knowingly spend $400 per year for this. Absolutely dishonest.
