That is all.
The executives at Facebook once again are spying on us 24/7, sharing our data with advertisers and data brokers, resulting in people not getting jobs, being refused insurance, and being denied the ability to rent. Disinformation is everywhere, just like on Instagram and Facebook. This app is not much better than Musk’s Twitter and not at all worth the tradeoff in the loss of personal privacy.
Threads does not respect your preferences as far as which tab is active. It will keep switching you back to the "For You" tab, which is mostly irrelevant garbage. More, they've basically hidden the button to show those tabs at all; you have to tap the Threads logo. This is completely unintuitive. I spent the first few days on here wondering why my feed was filled with trash content from people I wasn't following. Granted, this is a Meta product, so there's a certain lack of ethics one expects, but I still find it interesting that Threads would stoop to this kind of dark pattern, given that their main selling point is "this is a Twitter alternative" and forcing an algorithm on users is an absolute Twitter move.
It's the best program I can save photos, but it's better if it's for video♥️
This app could become the next chill social app, the new Twitter possibly. And it can totally take my 5 stars if you switch the home feed to default “following” instead of trendy or “for you”
This app had potential. It’s so bland. There is no search tab or explore page to find things you are into. Everything thing is loaded on the homepage with the algorithm picking what it wants. It’s been more than a month and it still feels outdated and underdeveloped. I also don’t like how certain topics you discuss will lead you into getting your comment deleted. Basically censorship. “X” is the better app.
