Microsoft Authenticator
Obnoxious revenue grab. On top of annual software subscription - and apparently trying to grasp access to addition user information. This is why many no longer trust MicroSoft and will try to avoid dependency on them in the future.
Deceptive onboarding, useless free version
This application includes a sneaky upsell at the end of their onboarding flow. They substitute a button that enrolls you in a piad version where the "next" button was. If you're not paying attention, you'll wind up with an auto-renewing paid version. Additionally, this app is useless with the free version. Every action brings up a conversion modal. Scanning a qr code, manually entering information, etc. Avoid. There are much better free versions.

Help! How does one unsubscribe from this service? I just downloaded it today. I need to unsubscribe. There’s no Apple ID within the app. i’ve contacted support with several emails and still no response. Can someone please give me a guide as to how to unsubscribe. Before my three days is up. Update: cell phone settings > clicked on ID > subscriptions > authenticator > unsubscribe. Contacted Apple support because they’ve always been awesome. They confirmed I was unsubscribed within the allotted time. It also helps should I be charged. Apple will refund. Contacted (800) 692-7753.
