There seems to be no balance between what deck you have, and the strength of your opponents deck.
All of a sudden after an in-game update, I’m required to log in with HS with my iTunes account..... wow...
I honestly love this game to death. The art style is cool and the music is lovable. Having classes for all play styles make this game fun for everyone who picks it up. Anyone who says this is pay to win is just wrong. I’ve never spent a penny on this game and I have 22 legendaries, and decks that work for me. It is mostly skill and the luck that is involved makes the game fresh with each match you play. There are so many variables in this game that you control and that is what makes it never get old. However I will say it is slightly unbalanced, as a paladin player I have trouble climbing the ranks to aggressive hunter decks and taunt druids. The recent equality nerf was absolutely unnecessary. These problems do not take away from the gameplay though and that is why this game will always be timeless.
The negative reviews are correct. The older the game gets the more it’s biased toward pay-to-win and players who netdeck (copy statistically proven decks instead of creating original ones). I’ve been playing ranked play constantly tweaking a single deck for years (since the game came out of beta testing) and in all those years of playing almost daily, I’ve never once made it into the top 15 ranks... and in fact Standard ranked play is if anything, harder to advance in than ever. Blizzard finally realized this and in 2019 reduced the number of “stars” (games you need to win to advance), but here we are a couple months in, and nothing’s changed.
This game is one of my favorites, I really like how the game works and all of that. But I am not the most richest player in the game (only having about 1600 dust) which makes it hard to build a good deck. So my suggestion is to have a return policy, like if you craft a card and didn’t like it, you would have the next hour to disenchant the card for the full value.
I’ve played hearthstone since it started. I enjoy the strategy and challenge. I’ve spent 200 bucks in 5 years and it’s been with it. I can’t play every deck I’ve wanted to, but I’ve enjoyed myself.
I love this game, but they have ruined the use of strategy, as there are too many one-turn kills. Most recent games have been waiting for the same combo of cards from different players that deal more than 30 damage at once. And because of the power, 2 out of 3 games start with a Hunter who plays the exact same sequence of cards. Building decks specifically to counter these overplayed specific decks is not fun. It’s just going through the motions of playing.
This game is awesome, but I only have two decks I always use.. I stopped playing before, and started again because blizzard nerfed the level up spell that make my odd paladin deck so weak on wild mode.. some other decks are so much powerfull that odd paladin like fatigue rogue that have about 80-90% of win rate, because that deck is destroying all control decks, by keep drawing card, and that deck wont get a fatigue by reshuffling cards into their deck, it’s just so unfair.. I don’t know if aggro decks is able to beat that deck, but all the control decks has no chance to win.. So please, nerf some cards on the fatigue rogue deck like you nerfed level up spell
Hearthstone is the only game you need on your phone -
This game isn’t even worth the time. Only reason I played this was for a teachers assignment and *gasp* my report on how bad it was got me a failing grade. People are going to force you to play this and then bash you when you dislike it, community is trash, the game is poorly made. The cards are not well balanced, and it’s too easy to troll your opponent constantly. If you want a card game, just go play Magic, yugioh, vanguard, pokemon, final fantasy, etc.
