Need range mode

Very useful overall. Very easy to keep score and check yardages. I wish swing ID was able to analyze your swing while at the driving range.

One problem

This app is amazing. I only have one problem. Please get the swing ID to work on Driving Range, please. It is so annoying to have to pay for a full round of golf to see the swing ID. And if anybody has not used the swing ID yet it is a game changer. This app is worth $100 a year simply for the swing ID as long as it works in Driving Range , or in your backyard at your house just someplace other than being on the actual physical golf course. Can you please give some type of update of when the swing ID will work at a Driving Driving or away from a Golf Course. But this app is truly amazing. There is not any app that’s even close to this not Arco’s, not 18Birdies. Nothing there’s no app that compares to what this app does. I remember this app when it just gave you three yardages back in middle. So the developers and owners of this app you have something amazing with swinging ID can you please get it to work at a Driving Range before the end of this year please please please please please please please. #SwingID

Pros: finds courses, easy to operate, keeps score and sends you a score card, good accuracy GPS Cons: syncs well with my Apple Watch but depletes a full charge in 4.5 hours

Best I have used so far

Got back into golf after year's and I have tried a lot of apps to track scores and figure out the distances on my clubs. This app has the auto tracking which makes my interaction with the app even more seamless. What I really like this apo is it shows your swing and breaks it down into different categories like tempo and backswing distance, if you went shallow or steep over the top and if you went outside in or inside out. The only issue I have for this app that would have given it 5 stars and more is it doesn't have a practice mode for the range so you can't use all those shot tracking features to work on your swing. If it did that it would absolutely be the best app hands down. I saw rumor that they might be working on this and that would be awesome if they were.

Golfshot GPS

I’ve had this app since it’s inception and it only gets better! Just got back from Scotland where it performed well on all courses. I can also post my scores to the USGA handicap system with a few clicks. Gordon MacDougall

Needs Basic Features

Please consider adding the following features: 1. “Scramble scoring” - Allow user to omit any round from handicap scores when playing a scramble round (tournament, friends, etc). Lacking in this regard, and doesn’t reflect true stats. 2. Show the holes “default yardage” - everything is live yardage (which is great) but if you don’t carry a paper scorecard in addition to this app, you have no idea what the default yardage is for every hole as you play it. To me these seem like very basic features that got overlooked.

Good record keeper

Gives the opportunity to track the length of shots and number of puts and girs. I use it in conjunction with a wrist gps but you wouldn’t have to. Nice to have a record of your rounds to look back on. You can keep score for the whole 4some if they want you to.

Was Perfect!

I have to say that I have absolutely loved the swing id and shot tracking because it is ubiquitous. There wasn’t anything extra I had to do besides input my score at the end of the hole. With the addition of the Strokes Gained, that was clunky for me and I don’t really care about that particular stat. If there was a way to toggle it on and off, I will changed my review.

App Support came through

Been using this app since 2011. I never had any problems but all of a sudden I had so many problems I didn’t know what to do and nobody was helping me. So I wrote a really rough review. Then I got a reply and it seems that they had me registered as a man instead of a woman when it posted to GHIN. As a tournament player it was important that my handicap index was accurate. But they came through and figured out what was going on and fixed it. They also corrected all my scores. Hopefully it won’t happen again because this is my favorite app. I could use the GHIN app instead but it doesn’t show previews of courses which is essential when you’re playing a course you don’t know…where to hit or what kind of shot to make. I’m so happy they came through and I can tell you there’s not a better app out there. Thank you. That’s what I call support!
